possible to embed images?
is it possible to embed images?
it seems the PHP IMG tags only create links thanks |
If you mean can you directly upload pictures onto the server, then no.
|
no...but PHP code usually allows you to show an image by putting it between the image tags
The image is still hosted at a different source. however on your boards when i use the [IMG] tag the image does not show up |

You have to make sure the Show image attachments and [img] code in Posts? option is set to yes though. To modify it click here. |

[ img ]http://www.domain.com/something.php[ /img ] ? well no, we don't allow that due to security reasons. |
security reasons?
what exactly does that mean? what is the risk? |
You can use php to do other things other than displaying pictures. Which is why you can't use them to display dynamic pictures just in case someone has the knowledge to be able to use php to do something we don't like in here.
|
well I know PHP pretty well and run my clans site and I am curious what are these PHP things that you guys dont like?
|
The same kinda things for the reason we don't allow people to be able to post html in here either. ;)
