Notice LF is now sporting loading messages!
I wonder who is responsible for this? (Kudos to where it is deserved)

This is a neat feature... only problem is people with blazing internet connections (:shads3:) have hardly any time to read the messages...

I like it, but my connection is fast enough where i can just read at most, a few words if anything, before it loads the main forum page.

I don't see any loading messages, what nonsensical prank is this?

Agree. My connection is fast enough that I can't even get them now that I'm trying to.

I think you can get it after you edit a comment in full edit. After you click submit, you get a loading screen that says something like "thank you for submitting your comment" and at the bottom of the box it says a quote.

(shrug) I don't care one way or t'other. They go by too fast for me to read 'em.

I haven't seen any.

This "feature" was requested awhile back, though I felt Sun Tzu was a bit more succinct here than Dostoyevsky or Tolstoy. There's currently only a 30% chance any quote will be shown on a given redirection page.

I've added a slightly longer delay for those redirects that contain the messages.

Apparently I need to find a computer that is connected to dial-up cause I see no quotes :(, which is fine by me, I've longed to hear that telephone dialing noise...

If you see no quotes, try logging off and on, the delay is a bit longer...

Subscribing to a forum over and over again is how I tested it.

tk, it needs more Benny Lava, especially his wonderful Barber and Ninja Movements.

Also, a "UFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! " would be very much welcomed.

I guess I will go against the flow of this thread. Personally I don't like it. If Iwas dial-up then I would really hate it. When I was on 56K I adblocked every signature image to lessen the load time. Even with decent broadband I still adblock all of the signature images because I don't want to waste my time/connection scrolling past them. Also if I had my way there would be no size 7 signatures.

From what I've seen, it's just text and only a few words. It shouldn't really affect anyone.

And you can turn sigs off in your profile.

Not an option for some people as there are useful links present in some peoples sigs... emphasis on some. ;)

I like them a lot but couldn't help notice the distinct lack of Rhett Quotes. Most of what spills out of my mouth is sage wisdom and should be recognized as such, dammit.

I just got a Sun Tzu message on the edit loading screen. This one was quite interesting, it was explaining on how capturing one pound of your enemies food is equal to 20 pounds of your own....

Now I'm very hungry:D

Not true, you said that turning off signatures was "Not an option for some people as there are useful links present in some peoples sigs... emphasis on some" but that you "agreed" that you didn't like signatures.

Perhaps you weren't referring to yourself, in which case my comment still applies - to whoever you were referring to as "some people". Of course, if you weren't talking about yourself I have no idea how you'd come to the conclusion that it was not "an option" for "some people".
