Favourite (Real) Weapon
 

Simply put, whats your favourite real life weapon? No disturbing confessions of using them. You never even have had to have held one to haev a favourite. Just something you'd like to be armed with incase you wake up and everyone else is "undead" etc.

Don't really have much of a deep interest in modern weaponry or anything, but I like the Dragunov, because it's Soviet, it's a sniper rifle and it has the most kickass weapon name of all time:

Fine choices indeed, the People's Dragunov, the prime weapon of the Soviet Sniper Corp, and the Kalashnikov, an amazing legend in itself...but my favorite goes back to the AK's German ancestor.....

Yep, the Germans sure did know how to make an effective weapon, became a legend during WW2, still has a profound impact on the world of weapons.

^^ Good choice as well, the Nazis also had a way with developing kickass weaponry with equally kickass names, like Sturmgewehr. Sturmgewehr. Compare with Allied inventions: The Thompson rifle. Thompson? Seriously?

From my own collection (none of these can actually fire, but given the chance I'd have the real things):





Though, for zombie killing, i'd go with a machine gun backed up by a cavalry sabre.

**** yeah, you take the machinegun, I impale zombies, horseback and with a lance. That's the most awesome zombie-killing duo I've ever seen. :D

Somehow, I knew you'd pick those weapons, they are indeed classics, but for zombie killing, I'd take a shotgun, and a Samurai sword, aim for the head!:D {Though Sabre's idea of riding on a horse and lancing the zombies is pretty cool too:D}

My favourite is the Smith & Wesson Model 626 - .357 Magnum round, 6" barrel, 'blued', with wooden grips. It's also the same one I use for target shooting! :D



It looks the same as this example, which is the famous Model 29 (.44 Magnum).

SA80 L85A2, though I prefer it without the scope.

I'm fully trained in the use of the SA80A2- Standard rifle of the Biritsh Armed forces, boo-yah.

The XM8, because it looks so much like some Halo-esque weapon of tomorrow.What's great about it is that it's so adaptable, much like the DM-17 :p

And of course, there's the minigun, for the sake of being badass.See what I mean:

MP-40. I lurvs that thing! XM8 is a nice model as well, along side G36c.

A very nice choice for all game involving infiltration of any kind! Regrettably, I haven't had a chance to fire one...:(

Yes, MP5s are truly amazing guns. Would be my first choice for any close range combat.

Kamas are sick. I use to take a Okinawan weapons class where they taught kamas. I never did get around to learning them though...

You know, that reminds me of my second favorite weapon....the SAMURAI DAISHO!!! A Katana and a shorter wakizashi blade which is a symbol of loyalty, to the point that if told to, the Samurai would commit suicide with that sword. Quite the awesomeness....I love Japanese weaponry and martial arts....:D

If we're talking melée as well, then my favourite is the Pata, a kickass sword gauntlet that Tanaji "Lion" Malusare had dual-weilded during the epic siege of Kondhana/Sinhagadh.
