Excellent! Getting it scanned would be awesome. By the way, are you the guy who emailed me about it, or did you manage to buy it off that guy already? haha

stewlil 06-12-2009 01:18 PM

yes please

Ronny 06-13-2009 05:59 AM

This looks incredible!
God, I love this game.

Frenkieee 11-24-2009 05:51 PM

I still need this one.. badly! I want to give myself a treat for Christmas!

What is the size of this bad boy? Can I download it somewhere? Pretty please, I want this! :)

lemos 01-13-2010 08:01 AM

I'd also be very interested in a scan of this poster.. If Chaosman is not willing to share, does anyone know who else might have this? Surely they printed more than one back in the day :)

Frenkieee 01-15-2010 04:29 AM

CHAOSMAN where are uuuuuuu!

Mouncer 01-15-2010 12:44 PM

We need you to scan this! D:

the late D. Hurley 01-24-2010 10:39 AM

I almost started to cry when I saw this, and there STILL isn't a scan of it. DARN DARN its beautiful.

edit: I PMed him D:
edit edit: I'd pay for the scan alone. Everybody throw something into a hat and ask CHAOSMAN with a lot of pretty pweases if he scans it for 100 bucks?

CHAOSMAN 01-24-2010 07:51 PM

i know i have held out on you guys long enough i am in the process of finding a print shop to get this thing scanned. Its massive and professionally framed and is over 10 years old so its not that easy to just put in my in HP scanner and put it up for you guys ;) more updates to come!

Frenkieee 01-25-2010 04:38 AM

That's great! Looking forward!

What size is it though?

the late D. Hurley 01-25-2010 07:27 AM

if you really manage to do that, you're my hero. I'll drool all over your feet if you ever come to austria >.>

Longcat 01-26-2010 02:28 PM

Wow, That's really great news CHAOSMAN:D much appreciated!

Now there's a disgusting image.

the late D. Hurley 01-29-2010 01:37 PM

btw, if you tell us how much it will cost you, I'd be glad to pay my part >.> And others will be inclined to do so too (probably)

MeddlingMonk 01-29-2010 08:53 PM

It's a nice thought, but dicey copyright-wise. Just having the poster scanned is in a grey area (is it or is it not fair use?); receiving payment for having done so, even it's just to break even, is a definite tilt toward the dark side.

Frenkieee 02-02-2010 03:56 PM

Awaiting the poster, I had a project of my own. I received a gift certificate that I could use for various purposes. One was getting a picture painted on canvas. The rest wasn't very useful, so Grim Fandango on canvas it had to be! Here's the result. The first picture is the canvas (30x40cm) on the table by daylight, the second is the canvas hanging up on the wall. I just took the second pictre and because the light isn't very good, I had to use the flash on my cellphone when taking the picture, which causes the picture to come out a bit nasty, but whatever.

Virtureal 02-03-2010 03:01 PM

I'm willing to pool in on the scan part too, if it is scanned with a high resolution that is. If we can't get it proffesionally reprinted from the scan, then it's useless.

I really like the poster though, all the details making it look like a movie; fantastic!

JagJedi 02-04-2010 02:52 PM

Frenkieee, That turned out awesome! That was a really good idea.

the late D. Hurley 02-09-2010 08:56 AM

QFT, same here

Terrible lighting, but this is the result

MeddlingMonk 02-09-2010 08:24 PM

Looks pretty good (except for it being a big, shiny panel on the shirt but I expect a screen print costs). But wouldn't Olivia be more appropriate? If you could find/create a high-resolution image of her, that is.

the late D. Hurley 02-10-2010 04:08 AM

I was trying to extract some from the cutscenes, didn't turn out too well when I tried the montage in photoshop.

CHAOSMAN 02-22-2010 01:47 AM

posted is original one sheet movie poster size so 27 x 40. I am still on it dont worry guys. I will make sure to have it high quality scanned as well. As far as I know am I one of the only people to have this poster. I haven't even seen this in Tim's office at double fine studios

Frenkieee 02-22-2010 04:26 AM

27x40 inch, or cm? In the case of this being in cm, I'd be a bit disappointed because I figured it would be bigger.. nonetheless, I'm still looking forward to this getting scanned :)

CHAOSMAN 02-22-2010 07:46 PM

inches of course! its movie postedstyle sized and themed

Frenkieee 02-23-2010 03:41 AM

Good news :D

stewlil 02-24-2010 11:44 AM

Eagerly await :D I would put in money but I'm a poor student now.

Lespleen 03-26-2010 06:28 PM

I would support this project with money easily! anywhere we can give donations.

CHAOSMAN 04-05-2010 01:14 AM

I went to a few print shops this past weekend and none of them were able to scan a poster this big

if anyone knows any print shops in southern california please let me know. For now I will keep searching

Longcat 04-05-2010 05:02 AM

Glad to hear you are still working on it:) In my country, most universities have printshops with bigass equipment, but I don't know about California... Good luck:)
