Little bit confuzed about Soundtrack
On this game we play as Heavy Metal rodie who must lead his army against Glam Metal, correct? But the third trailer featured the song Dr. Feelgood, by Motley Crue.
If Glam Metal is our enemy why did they put Dr feelgood on the trailer? I just love the song, and the trailer was awesome, but if we going to fight Glam rockers they shouldn't use one of MC's song, Motley crue is one of the most important and influent Glam Metal bands, they are, probably, the fathers of Glam Metal era. Wait, maybe Tim doesn't think MC is glam (They are Heavier then other Glam bands like Ratt and Poison) or maybe because MC has one of the most famous Heavy Metal umlauts (Mötley Crüe)? |
It's just marketing. The people doing the advertising probably felt that using that song would boost the game's profile more than a heavier, less known (but more appropriate) band.

You were right in your first post Manowar! Mötley Crüe were nothing like the other glam-bands in 80's L.A. WHile Poison sang about loving a girl for what she is, Crüe sang about breaking her bones and raping her :thmbup1:

They just have it for the diverse soundtrack. You have to face black and industrial metalheads too,and theres all different types of metal in the game.Tim Schaefer(sp?) wanted the game to be amazingly diverse musically, and they went to a archival metal record store owner to get songs for it.
