Your thoughts on the Clone Wars TV show
 

I apologize if this has been brought up already but I wanted your opinions on the Clone Wars TV show, and before you all vote the last option, think about it, is it really that bad? Of course it doesn't mean you have to think about it. :p
But really, what are your opinions?

I don't like it but I don't hate it is what I voted for. I'm going to tell the guys at The Clone Wars Series Haters group about this poll.

It's okey, I mean, it's not that bad but nether a pice of crap.

I like it but I don't love it.

As with anything, it has it's good and bad points, but overall I like the TV series. The film, on the other hand, is pretty bad.

I've liked a couple of the episodes, namely the ones with Aayla Secura in them, but overall I think it's pretty dire. The droid humour is awful, and Ahsoka is annoying. I don't like it but I don't hate it.

You Dare mention its name here? :P I honestly have to watch it because I have to watch, read, play, Eat, Sleep with, all things Star Wars... But it is Horrid, Low-brow retcon, Crap IMO. George only makes Star Wars for 3 year old's now. I just Hope The EU is allowed to continue writing the Adult parts of Star Wars... That is if the 5 seasons of the Clone Wars TV show doesn't completely re-write the Continuity, making everything pre-ROTS retcon.

I like it, it's good, it's far from perfect (It features Anakin and Padme love scenes, so that's what makes me want to claw my face off during it)

It messed up Mandalorian canon. And corrupted all future works related to Mandalorians in the process.:swear:

Anyway. I like it. It remembers more the OT than the PT. And it has better story than the PT too. The animation is good (even better on this second season) as well as the action. The annoying droid jokes and Ahsoka's pet names became more rare as the series went on.

Only saw small bits of it. Can't really judge, but I've seen a rather positive review not that long ago. Can't be that bad, right? In any case, that canon's messed up, well, I don't mind that much, really. The Clone Wars period never really interested me.

Yes, it has received many positive reviews. IGN, for example, has a review for each episode, and a Season I general review. Of course, as everything, the series has it's flaws, but overall it's pretty good.

You think the Clone Wars is more like the OT than the PT? Just to clarify :)

Has more the feel of the adventure and swashbuckling type of action characteristic of the OT, therefore resembling (to me) more the OT than the PT.

TCW is ruining Star Wars… I voted for the last option.

Yeah the droid jokes are annoying too but it is always relaxing to see when they get destroyed after these jokes. I hate it because they made Grievous look like a big loser. He always fails his missions no matter what they are.

But there are good things in it too:
I like it's music. It's not the best ut its good. I like Cad Bane he's the least anoying charatcer and he usually owns the jedi(which is good because in 20 episodes out of 21 the Republic wins:¬:). Most of the lightsaber fights are good.

How? This series is still during the time gap of chapter 22 of Tartakovsky series.

I'm a bit confused about what happened when, but by putting Ventress in the show they ruined it because in Tartakovsky's CW her very first mission was to kill Anakin and she failed so she sould be dead......But that's only one thing.

Right, but she didn't died on the micro series. Have you ever read "Obsession"?

There are a number of things about the series that can come off as juvenile, but conceptually the "Adventures of Anakin and Obi-Wan" aspect works for me and I will watch an episode if its airing when I scroll through the cable guide.

It doesn't have the tone of a movie or novel of course, but I don't consider the approach or quality to be necessarily inferior to a lot of the Star Wars comics out there -- IMO it's reviled in part because non-"adult swim" cartoons are a "kiddie" medium whereas comics are the province of "serious fans."

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I don't like Clone Wars, but I don't hate it, I just don't think it's necessary. All we needed to know about the Clone Wars were covered in the movies and the 5-minute cartoon.

I like the computer generated version, makes it worth watching (sometimes).

Specially this last Geonosis episode.

It's a kids show don't sperg all over it. Better than kids watching anime at least.

I enjoy it. I'm way out of the age range...but it's star wars...and it has some alright stories...looks great too.
