just starting out with GtkRadiant
 

ok iwant to make maps now
and when i start gtkradiant to make it an error comes up saying:
Synapse server installation failed (see console)
GetLastError: The system cannot find a path specified.
An unrecoverable error has occured.
Would you like to edit prefrences before exiting Radiant?

i would try uninstalling radiant and then reinstall it, using the 1.4 raven release which you can find here
