Curse of MI - Vista 86x
 

On my very old XP, I had no problems. Then it died and I bought a new PC.

I installed CMI and when I reach Wally, the sound stars lagging/looping and locks up the conversation.

I used both installer and quicklauncher from Minxmojo, but it still happends.
Most likely seeing how their launcher supports up to 64x.

I also tried running it in windows 95 and 98 compatibility mode.

Please help.

(I don't want to play it on ScummVM)

Why not?

I'd use ScummVM if I were you. I replayed CMI last year with it, and it was great because it slightly smooths the graphics — albeit not as blatantly as it does with MI1/MI2 — so text and stuff is a bit less pixellated, so long as you select one of the smoothing filters in the ScummVM options.

I can't think of any possible reason to not use ScummVM seeing as it's specifically designed to solve compatibility issues. :confused:

Secounded. You don't want to use ScummVM because it's not exactly as playing normal game? You're right... It's a bit better :P
