Today I want to announce a little project that I started by popular request. Forget all this hi-fi 8-bit nonsense! Here's the ultimate retro experience: a PC speaker version of the SoMI soundtrack.

Would have rather heard the PCjr soundtrack. But nice.

Me too, but I don't have such a machine.

While not completely sure how direct of a comparison it was to the PCjr, sound-wise, DOSBox has the ability to emulate Tandy speaker audio easily enough.

I can confirm it does sound much better than standard PC speaker. Maniac Mansion, for example, sounds great. :thmbup1:

It's kind of funny that to hear this we need to download megabytes of digital audio.

yeah, maybe someone knows a program to trigger the internal PC speaker and a program to extract the triggering files of the game. then we could save some bytes. :)
