Doubt I'll get the CE, but I know for sure I'll be buying the game. Pre-Orders supposedly will have the playable Robin character as well.

The first game was pretty freaking awesome. Probably one of the best "superhero" genre games I've ever played to be honest. Really captured the Batman "feel". Arkham City is looking to be a blast.. can't wait.

Unfortunately, it seems to be one of the MANY AAA titles coming out towards the end-of-year holiday.. so yeah, while I'll definitely be getting the game, Skyrim will probably be hoarding most of my time. ;)

Oh yes, definately getting this. Asylum was a brill, well lengthed game.

The first Batman game was one my favorites of all time. Hopefully the sequel isn't a letdown.

Rocksteady did a brilliant job at the first game and, for everything we've seen, AC will live up to our ludicrously high expectations.

Absolutely cannot wait for Arkham City, Asylum was brilliant and a surprise hit for everyone who wasn't really expecting anything special out of another Batman game. Also, you gotta love the Kevin Conroy + Mark Hamill combo.

They are both great voice actors. Mark Hamill does a surprisingly evil and actually quite scary or intimidating job of the Joker.

I never really liked the old Batman costume. I like the darker colors.

Arkham City looks great, but I'll prolly hold out until next year for a GOTY edition like I did with Asylum.

Personally, i preferred both the suit seen in Asylum (not the armored one, the vambrances/gauntlets looked funny there) and the latest Batman movie.

To me those looked the best of those i've seen so far.

I also have to agree, i don't think i'll be getting the CE version of the game, unless of course something *big* is added to it. :)

me too. I don't mind pre-order bonuses, but I DO hate exclusive bonuses. I despise Gamestop for this reason, as they get many of said exclusives, that the english have nought access to. (Except Ireland, I believe)

Yeah I gathered it was an attempt to make him look old, but it just looks weird. It's like they wanted to make him look fat and wrinkly, but basically all they did was scale up the mesh and overdo the normal map. As a result he looks even more body builder ridiculous than the base model.

The Batman Beyond version looks weird. For one, I always imagined BB to be more lean than muscular, and I always thought his costume had no expression or mouth - basically, I imagined him as a spiky, black-wearing Spider-man, which is pretty awesome. But I guess these are just mostly re-skins anyhow?

The old-man-batman version looks very retro, like the 1930s comics, cool stuff but the body looks bizarre. But then, the original Arkham Asylum Batman wasn't exactly a case study for average human body proportions. :p

Agreed. But - and I must warn you that I don't remember much of BB - how exactly does that very young Batman manages to have super-human strength and have that slender, almost feminine (it looked like a body-builder woman) silhouette? Doesn't ruin the costume if he actually looks he can kick ass.

I figure he was just designed to look cartoony. Really good idea but I won't be playing it much - except for the lulz.

I like the seventies one and i hope a Dark Knight rises one is coming.

On looking at Batman Beyond pictures again, it seems I was mistaken; the costume did have a nose/mouth. Guess the "black Spider-man" was just a fantasy I made up. :p I don't think he had 'superhuman' strength though, he was just more Bruce Lee than Ahnuld.

I think he was called Terry, but I don't remember much more than that.

BB is Terry McIntyre, he's more or less a regular kid whom BW trains to become Batman. One of the key points here is that unlike in Bruce's generation, years of training and practice and now replaced by technology and networks. IIRC, the new batsuit worked like an exoskeleton that granted superior speed, strength and stealth.

I remember an episode where Terry gets his ass kicked because of this, and Bruce saves him with his mental skills + batsuit.

Originally, although Arkham Asylum was good, and this looked pretty decent, this wasn't one of my priorities, with already buying ToR, Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3 and what not but now i've updated on everything...damn I need this game.

Got the game yesterday (17th).

And, WOW. There are a LOT more places to hide Riddle trophys and riddles this time around.

And Catwoman? WOW. :)

For anyone that might want to get into this franchise properly, Arkham Asylum is now £4.99 on Steam, or £10 along with LEGO Batman which is roughly $15

I think I'll wait for the collector's edition on PC, if it comes with all DLC. If I'm buying it, at least I get the full game.

I keep kicking myself for starting Dead Island hehehe. Totally forgot the release date was yesterday :headbump

I was discussing Arkham City with a co-worker today and decided to pick up Arkham Asylum on his recommendation.

GOTY Edition is indeed on sale via Steam. $9.99 for those of us that shop with dollars.

Just installed the Catwoman DLC that came with my PS3 version. I still haven't played as the joker in the first game yet, but I am impatient. I rarely pay full bill for a new game, and bought the original cheap but enjoyed it too much :p

Looking forward to playing with some new and wonderful toys!

Haven't actually played it yet 'cause i'm sodding British and it comes out tomorrow. But i've seen the ending cutscene.

One of my *still* favorite parts of this game is the fact that i can actually continue to play this game *after* the credits are finished.

And i'm *still* trying to figure out a few of those Riddle Trophys, mainly how to actually get at them.

One thing that puzzles me though, during the game the suits of both Catwoman and Batman gets pretty torn up.

Thing is that Batman 'leaves' Arkham City at the 'end' of the game, why the frack doesn't he (and catwoman) go get new suits that aren't torn up?

Played it for myself, completed the campaign and majority of side missions.
This game is amazing, and an example of a game where it does justice on it's predecessor.

The ending is actually quite sad, if you look at it from the Joker's point of view too. His death was simple but sweet, and the look of his character made it seem like by the time he died, his body reflected the madness within. I loved how he etched a smile on his face as he died too.
It's a pity, but I hope it's not strictly true, because I'd love another Arkham game with the joker in it.

Just got (and started) the new Harley's Revenge DLC. :)

Things look pretty good so far, other than the annoyance of the fact that i have to find and pop 30 balloons scattered around...
