LOOM problem (steam version)

Are you guys aware of this issue in Loom - steam version:

In the village, at the beginning of the game, when you enter the tent on the far right with the green dye, the line "Grass green. I hate that color." is cut off. He says "Grass green. I hate that col..". :¬:

I tried deleting local content and re-downloading, but still the same. So it has to be common with this Steam release. The old cd release does not have this issue. The audio should be intact in the CDDA.SOU file, but the end mark for that line must just be a second too short.

Is there any chance it can be fixed?
Thanks!

I believe LucasArts will get right on that. Email their new president.

Okay, so in all seriousness, besides posting it here, another decent idea would be to writie the authors of the seemingly now-defunct LucasArts Workshop. http://lucasartsworkshop.wordpress.com/

Maybe one of them will still get their emails that still works at LucasArts.

The audio data in CDDA.SOU must be offset by a certain amount. Happens often when ripping CD Audio (where the music and speech in Loom originates) to an audio file format.

Thanks for replying guys! I'll check the Lucasarts Workshop out, Scummbuddy.

I checked out the sample but it sounds fine. The "or" of "color" isn't pronounced clearly, but it's there. It's pronounced more like "colah". Extending the sample with a few seconds doesn't reveal the "or" of "color" any better.

I never noticed it before, but the LucasArts Workshop logo is cropped at exactly the spot where Guybrush's hair appears on the SE front cover. Very good, lol!
