Your CD key is not authorized to play this game?
 

Hello everyone.

Just yesterday, I found a copy of Star Wars Battlefront 2 at my local Hastings store and decided to buy it. Considering how much fun I had playing the game on the original Xbox, I'm sure I would defiantly enjoy the online multiplayer portion of the game. So I install the game and get it running. Created my GameSpy ID account and tried to join a server. That's when I got the "Your CD key is not authorized to play this game" window to pop up in the game. I've tried at least 6 or 7 other servers and I get the same message. I've also tried using CDKey.exe in the BF2 folder to see if that would help. It didn't.

Is there a way to fix this or am I doomed to having to find/buy another copy of the game just to get to play the multiplayer?

You don't need to create a GameSpy ID to join a server.
