TV Series:

Can't name anything else that stood out this year on other categories, although as far as video games go, "Papers, Please" was the best by far.

Don't watch it

Don't buy it...

The Desolation of Smaug

Splinter Cell Blacklist and Battlefield 4 for xbox 360

Anime: ...Birdy the mighty except I ain't watched it all yet...and I'm not sure when I will...

Music: I'm starting to like 70's stuff, maybe Black Sabbath but I'm sort of moving beyond that now...

Movie: It's a tossup between
Kill Charlie Varrick, 1973, played by Walter Matthau

The Street Fighter, 1974, starring Sonny Chiba

SWTOR and Megaman: Dr Wily's Revenge

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. How you all doing?

Movie: None. Lots of disappointments.

TV Series: Dexter. Watched every season on Netflix and loved it.,214,317_.jpg

Album: Rudimental - Home. Lots of great music this year, but this is the stand out album for me.

Anime: Shingeki No Kyojin (Attack on Titan). Production IG continue to make great series. Watch it free -

Book: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Please read this book if you haven't already. It is a geeky gamers dream come true. Highly recommended. (Cheating a bit I know as it came out last year)

Game: Animal Crossing New Leaf. I bought this and a 3DS XL for my daughter for her birthday back in August, because they have played every AC game so far. They got me to try it out one day and I have played it every single day since.

I want to post, too! I think I was last here in July 2012.

Vidja game
  1. Grand Theft Auto V, multiplayer I wasn't that crazy about.
  2. Battlefield 4 has been bumming me out lately.
  3. The Last of Us was great.
  4. Splinter Cell Blacklist was a return to form for one of my favorite series.
  5. NHL14 because I like hockey now.
  6. Assassin's Creed IV, because sure, I never played 3.
  7. Europa Universalis IV, because I find Civ 5 boring and have played too much Total War Shogun 2.
  8. Bioshock Infinite, pretty good.
  9. Samurai Gunn, played this for hours during the Christmas break. I never learned SMB so this was a good stand-in for me.
  10. Tomb Raider, it's less funny when Nathan Drake gets really hurt and he's a woman cause now it's all awkward for me... does that make me sexist?

Gravity? Lots of inaccuracies but was still pretty great.

Book (that I read this year):
Ghost in the Wires by Kevin Mitnick - Best book I read this year. Pretty mind blowing and also really freakin' long. Just don't follow the Twitter account of the author, he's kind of a prick.

LA Kings hockey! I don't watch TV otherwise at all. Not even downloaded or Netflix'd TV shows.

Albums (I listened to a ton this year, starting this year):
I uploaded all my music to Google Music when I switched to Android. So from the start of the year I know how many plays in particular I've made of each album since the start of the year.
Wolf People - Fain - 2013 - 75 plays
Brant Bjork - Jalamanta - 1999 - 70 plays
Hanni El Khatib - Head in the Dirt - 2013 - 40 plays
Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats - Blood Lust - 2011 - 35 plays
Vista Chino - Peace - 2013 - 25 plays
So yeah, by definition those are my favorites.

Edit: @Sabretooth
My brother showed me the first episode of Kill la Kill and I had to agree, that shizzle was bonkers.

Honorable mentions:

HED 02-06-2014 08:37 PM

TV Show:
Breaking Bad, like others.

Though Hannibal was great too.

I'm a little hesitant on this, but it was very good, and very 2013, if that makes sense.

(Not that I expect K-Pop to have much recognition on a Star Wars forum)

Pho3nix 02-14-2014 09:40 PM

K-Pop ****ing sucks

I feel really conflicted because although j-pop is the superior pop I find I have a guilty affinity towards k-pop as well so I'll just do the smart thing and post this
