zaran couldnt move. and could see anything for that matter. but he was a master jedi. and that is what probaly saved him. he closed his eyes and used the force to see his surroundings. he was trapped under a pile of rubble... now zaran used the force to move the rocks.
"take the young ones into the next room, i will be there shortly"
and as he sent that message a single ray of light started to peirce the blackness.
