I'm not sure about KotOR1, but the patcher I use for KotOR2 supports 1600P. You'll have to Google it though because it makes use of that-which-shall-remain-unnamed. The only problem is with the way Obsidian designed the HUD. It'll probably be HUGE at 1600P and there's no way to fix it. There are custom-sized HUDs for KotOR1 available here (as well as some breadcrumbs to that-which-shall-remain-unnamed) in the TUCE.
