I just read The Colour of Magic for the first time recently. The scenes with the characters being confused by modern technology and terms was a lot of fun. I really like his narrative style. It's one of the better books I've read in a long time. I don't know what took me so long to read it in the first place.
I'll definitely be checking out the rest of the Discworld series.
