Thanks for the replies.
I had so much stuff in my override folder that I just didn't remember what was what and I'm totally new at using mods so I figure I carelessly overwrote the appearance.2da file multiple times when I shouldn't have.
I started fresh by reinstalling the mods I wanted and deleting everything else. There are a lot less files but still headless handmaidens with male bodies, haha.
No worries, just moved on past that point.
