Buying the game on origin won't make a difference. Plus, avoid Origin.
The MINIMUM you'd need to do to becoming a preferred player is to spend at least 4.99USD on the game, which is exactly the same as buying the cheapest cartel coin pack. Any thing else you do is overcomplicating matters and is pointless.
