Is there any way to change what animatiojns.cfg the dude uses?

Dude, you created four identical threads. That is not allowed here. You need to go back and delete any threads created by accident. It's simple, people. The edit button is your friend.

The 'dude' will use the animation.cfg that is in the directory where the GLA file pointed to by the 'dude's header resides.
