Beyond a NooB
Hi folks. Let's pretend I have no idea what I'm doing.
I have a Macbook Pro running OSX Tiger 10.4.8
I also have the Macintosh version of Sam N Max & DOTT.
I tried running ScummVM, but it doesn't recognize any of the files on the CD.
Am I screwed?
I read the post regarding dropping to a terminal & copying the Samnmax data file, but I don't have one on the CD.
help?
Please?

So. You read the post regarding dropping to a blahblahblah..
Did you read this one, which took me three years of typing, too:

Unfortunately, due to a lack of the Macintoshizzle Sam & Max versionizzle dizzle in my warez folder .... warez f ...... wa ............................ CD archive, I cannot tell what its proper name on the CD is. According to everyone (or almost) else on this earth, it's most likely called Sam & Max Data. However, if not, the data file is the biggest file ever on the CD ... so .. errm, ya know..? *empty look* Huh? Aah, I also have this list of needed files, which says it's called like everyone else says.
Anyways, the point is, the data file is most probably *HIDDEN* on the CD, so you see alot of **** and such but not what you need.
But I cannot tell you how to unhide files or copy hidden files for Mac, since I don't have a Mac. Maybe Jake could enlight us with an ugly chunk of knowledge, if he ever returns from his last acid trip..
Also, if you have any problems with ScummVM, maybe you get more qualified answers here, at the ScummVM help forums, eh!
*burp*

Greatness. Then you surely recognised the sentence I will now highlight EXTRA and ONLY for you:
Anyways, the point is, the data file is most probably *HIDDEN* on the CD, so you see alot of **** and such but not what you need.
So, as an extra (and only for you) puzzle, find out how to view hidden files (on a CD) under OSX Blahschießmichtod. Then copy the ****.
Anything else we can refuse to help you getting along with? Electric Sheep Porn, maybe?

See, Ray, this is why we in here tend not to help people. Sooner or later they stop coming back reporting success or failure. If they do at all. No. I don't think it's related to the gibberish I talk, or even the mentioning of Electric Sheep Porn. Classic adventure gamers simply are like that. In particular the Macintosh ones. Except JAKE of course, because, of course, he could ban me for saying such things to him, and I don't want to be banned, because, of course, I am thaaaaat close to be made a mod by his divine hands and administering skillz. Whoo, I now have wee in my pants!! *rushes off*

How very good! From now on I shall be Ray "the Ray G. 'wee in my pants' Jones" Jones, until I decide otherwise, of course. Excellent.
While we're at it. Where's this punk with his Macbook? I want to shove it up his rectal zone to show him how much better I think my new Core2Duo processor one is.

The facerubbing - buttpain connect? This is obvious like dog balls: just take a horse, rub your face on it until it's hawt, then grab [EDIT - Ray are you nuts? You cannot really write what you wrote here and think people will be pleased to read this. I was, however. <3 itchy] up your anus.
EDIT: Dude, I so didn't edit your post...until just now, with this part. I don't want to hamper your wily imagination.
EDIT: Prove it! ~ Ray

I'm pretty sure MacGyver would find a way to kill god with a stack of 20 year old National Geographics and a wheel bench.

Dave Feiss (creater of Cow and Chicken) worked on a weird ass 15 page comic strip in The Maxx. Also he is the cousin of Sam Kieth (creator of The Maxx). That comic was awesome.
And better yet, Dave also worked on the pilot episode of Ren and Stimpy.
But I could never bring myself to like Cow and Chicken or I R Baboon or whatever.

Two human parents and a theme song that includes the lyrics "Mamma had a Chicken, Mamma had a Cow, Dad was proud, he didnt care how"
It was funny in an insane way.
