With all the negative things the staff at SWK hears, I thought it would be nice to let you guys know that we appreciate the job you do. It is not easy trying to keep discussions civil and productive when you deal with such a diverse group of people, but I think you do a great job. Thank you for providing a place for us to come together and talk about whatever interests me may share.

So, what about it, guys? Care to add your thanks?

His suspicious (sexual even ) relations with them aside, I should chip in my thanks too. It's probably quite frustrating to be dealing with the forums at times - I've certainly seen no shortage of drama, trolls and sycophants (I bet there'll be a lot in this thread ) in the years I've been here, nor of people who criticize you for being politically correct/favoritist/corrupt/Nazist every other post. I don't doubt that it's a pain in the ass to moderate this place at times, but it really does show. Reported posts are responded to promptly, Ahto is still fun after years of mostly the same regulars, and newbies can still expect detailed help in modding games that are 3-4 years old. This same thing has been said in a lot of threads, yes, but this really is a very friendly community and it honestly wouldn't be possible without you guys here.

Go ahead and report it--that way we can take care of it as quickly as possible. Depending on where the offense is, it may take us awhile to find it.

I have underpants with Niner, Insane, Rhett, tk and many moar printed to them. One pant one name. I mean just to have them...around..and feel them...and stuff. ^^

I'm one of those who's been at Lucasforums since before the merge of old, and I'd just like to say that the Moderators in these parts have always been above average. The one's at several forums go from being Nazis who close any and all threads that may reference a topic mentioned in passing in the giant 2000 post sticky at the top, to letting the annoying and vulgar slide with not so much as a warning.

So, after seeing Jebus's ridiculous rant thread and going wow, if I was a Mod, this would so be closed. then a day later, good ol Rogue Nine comes along and closes it for all of us with two working brain cells.

It just got me thinking, that seldom do I see a pointless, or crappy thread that isn't locked up quickly on general principal.

So, give the mods a big hand people. Without them, this place would be just another rant filled flame fest where anything goes, rather than the pleasant home on the internet that it is.

It is natural. Someone congratulates the mod team every once in a while. It's always good to give the SWK staff a good pat on the back every once in a while.

Some...people...claim that rules here are too tight. Of course, I disagree, they're just tight enough. It keeps the atmosphere breathable, with enough enforcement but not so much as to silence discording opinions.

You'd be amazed how crappy some other forums are simply because there is no rules or there's too much censorship.

People who complain the rules are 'too strict' are simply the ones breaking them. Rules are there to keep everyone happy and enjoying themselves, and it's a good moderation team that upholds those rules despite complaints. It speaks to a lot of courage, dedication, and high moral standards.

The staff here are ALOT better than many other forums i've visited.

They actually take the time to listen to both sides of problems and not just go along with the member with the best rep unlike on other forums too.

On a more serious note, although mods do a good job, I think the community also deserves some congratulations. People in general are quite friendly to everyone, including newbies. I remember trying to join another forum and was welcomed with aggression even though what I posted was absolutely harmless...not even a "hot" subject.

Quite true, these are some of the friendliest forums I've encountered on the net, and one of the very few I feel like actively participating on rather than just lurking.
