Rant Alert!!!!!!!!! what the yaddle is this a clone of Qui-gon this E2 stuff is getting out of control first he gives us a blurry picture of Anakin then he gives us this fat twilek sitting on a couch with a watch and non Starwarsy shoes then he breaks a camera cause someone repeated the fraise "loose the meat george loose the meat" then he gives us this quarter headed picture of this red thing and just yesterday night he comes over to my house offering me some juri juice and a red or blue pill im so confused my head is herting im leaving the matrix for a while to get my thoughts together. Anyone else wanna add somethin

So do I– at least sometimes. Depends on the kind of bug. Because you can save at any point in TPM‚ most of the bugs are good. The only ones that get on my nerves are when the AI of one of the characters (like the Queen) gets all screwy and won’t follow you anymore. I’ve had to restart the Coruscant level many times because of that. Sometimes I’m messing with it so I’m kind of asking for trouble. Not always though. The first time I went through that level‚ I could not for the life of me get her to follow out of that puzzle room (with the spinning bridge). This was the PSX version‚ no codes‚ hacks‚ or anything.

Anyway‚ the above is my all time favorite bug and I was delighted to discover it. To do it you have to kill Darth Maul before the animation sequence where he kills Qui-Gon. The game will lock if you try to walk forward‚ but Qui-Gon lives. If you walk forward while Darth Maul is dying you can get through. It’s really weird playing with the characters from the front view. I can’t believe how much fun this game is.

I also have a new glitch where you can play Qui-Gon’s half of the level. Maul’s AI is all screwy but it’s still pretty cool. Not as cool as this one though.

Now I have two ways of getting through the game with Qui-Gon alive. Sorry to say‚ that was my goal all along in finding ways to kill Maul before the Final Battle. Silly I know, but Qui-Gon is only Star Wars character I can say I really like– except maybe R2-D2. And damn Lucas for canning Kenny Baker! I will not‚ repeat not‚ be going to see Episode II– and I saw TPM 19 times. Nor will I spend another penny on Star Wars‚ or anything with the name Lucas‚ LucasFilm‚ LucasArts or any variation thereof until he releases every Star Wars and Indiana Jones movie on DVD. All of them. The only clear exception to this would be to buy a DVD that he does release. Nothing else could get me to spend another penny (unless the cat pees on my TPM game disc or something). I won’t replace my Star Wars movies because I refuse to watch them on that gawd awful VHS format. Yeck! This is also‚ of course‚ brought on by the announcement that Lucas is re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-releasing the original trilogy– VHS only. Aaaaahhhh!!! What a schmuck!!! How can you can Kenny Baker and replace him with another of Lucas’s lifeless CG characters? Is nothing sacred!!!

At any rate, a special thanks to Zanzibar. It’s very cool being able to talk to one of the game’s programers. Providing insights into the game’s programing‚ as well as answering questions and such‚ besides being a nice touch‚ also shows someone who genuinely cares about his (her/it/their) product. Particularly since he has the patience to repeat things a million times. Thereby the power invested in me‚ I pronounce today (August 30^th) Zanzibar Day.

Though I’m not really a game shopper anymore, I view Big Ape very highly and Lucas Arts, well... akin to something that clogs my toilet.

Whoa whoa whoa...back up a minute. Kenny Baker isn't playing R2 in Episode II? Even though most of the work was done by a robot, Kenny brought a humanity to R2-D2. What's Lucas going to do next: Send C-3PO back in time in the form of Arnold Schwartenegger to kill Anakin Skywalker while he's still a boy? Jeez, that's got me annoyed.

Zanzibar, you like bugs? I bet JPB make you explode from the excitement!

What didn’t you understand? I didn’t tell you how to kill Maul. See if you can figure it out first. I’ll give you a hint: you can’t do it without Gungan energy balls.

As for the latter, I will post a save game and a few screen shots when I get around to sifting through all my Final Battle rubbish.

not to be rude but can u explain more than "im working on it" you seen to of had to done it before, and all i am asking is when is an explanatoin of "HOW"

going to be available? this seems very interesting, could you tell me how long untill we will have one set of instruction, then how long till the other glich we be explained, i could try to find out myself, but for some reason, the saved game i have (I downloaded a buch with the begining of each level and in front of the door at the garbage pit where you fight maul and for some reason darth maul kills quigon before you get there, its funny to se him stab air and say "die jedi die" its like, "HES ALREADY DEAD STUPID HORNHEAD" i did the naught naught thing and saw that one you enter, dm stabs qg) so a working saved game from right in front of the door to the garbage pit (with the door closed if not tomuch truble) I could do it but ive been to busy latley to get there.

PS. I found out what Darth Maul's Name means and what species he is heres a bio i just made:

To get that glitch to work you need to knock Maul into the pit with Gungan energy balls. They lose their effect unless you vary the attack. Walk forward while he’s dying.

by the way, i kinda got it, he moved a little and they i counldnt get him any farther bacause the g.e.b.'s wouldnt go any farther becuase of that movie thing, d.m. slashes air and quigon dies them dm kinda dance

I was just being silly.

Practice throwing the energy balls in the middle of your double jump. As long as Maul doesn’t shoot off to the side you can always hit him.

ok, ill that, but i have 1 more question, how far should i get to maul and quigon? i know it stops for the movie in the 2nt to last one once you get to the half-way point for that section, do you think i should continue doing it nere the middle of the half-way point of the 2nd to last?

Go as close as you can (or need to) without triggering the animation sequence. That’s about two thirds to three quarters through the second to last space.

You might want to redo the level. This glitch is a lot cooler when Qui-Gon’s alive and fighting with no one. I haven’t checked to see if it will work when he’s already dead.
