New rumours
So what does everyone think of the latest GF2 rumours?
Below is an article taken from the april edition of PC Zone..
Personally I doubt there's any truth in them, PC Zone called GF a damn 'point and click'!

I hope the PC Zone staffer who wrote that article is incredibly embarassed. So embarassed, that his cheeks begon to glow at temperatures that skin cannot stand, and so the cheeky skin actually melts into his mouth, seeping into his teeth and gradually hardening up as the embarassment fades.
This should causing both incredibly painful agony (of the excruciating variety) and a rather large dental bill.

Yeah, well PC Zone can make quite a lot of mistakes. But maybe they just meant point 'n' click, as in a state of game play rather than the control system? Seems reasonable enough when I look at it like that.

gee 1998 was around the time
Cyan more or less put out Riven.
although the MYST games have no
interactions with characters
they are mouse driven point and click
adventure\puzzle solving type games
which still sell at box office
profit figures. and MYST3 or Exile had
some element of interaction with actor
Brad Dourifs character and one of the
Millers as Atrus and the actress who played
Catherine. AND Cyan is working on
project Mudpie a very real interactive
real time stategy, player interaction
version eventually to be renamed MYST4
why they updated MYST to realMYST
and put out the MYST trilogy set
so I do not think Adventure games are
deceased. when I go into a computer
gaming store I see shelves marked
FPS, strategy, adventure, flight sims,
etc and none of them look empty.
silly cyber crickets.

Beware the lollipop of mediocrity, lick once and you suck forever

I don't think GF2 would be as good as the original. Without Schafer's touch, I think the game will always feel incomplete.
"All [Samba] knows how to do is dance, and he does it very well, so that's all he does in the face of trouble - dance. Kinda like Sega. All they know how to do is videogames, and they do them very well, so they plow merrily along, seemingly oblivious to what's happening to their markets."

Yeah, well it least it wasn't labeled an RPG. That would have been much, much more demeaning. I mean come on, is it being called a point and clicker really so bad?

Yeah, but that's not the point. The point is that PC Zone don't know what they're talking about; and should check their facts if they want to become/remain a reputable source of gaming news.
