Adding new shipt

Hello again to all. I got a new computer and installed XWA and it's 2.02 update. I then grabbed the nessacary files and programs to begin adding ships to the game. I changed the shiplst.txt, spacecraft0.lst, spec, ect files I know how to do all of that stuff. I've done it before. Anyway, I tried BOTH MXvTED and the BinHexEdit program to edit the XWINGALLIANCE.exe file. any way, after everything is set up and all is said and done, I start up the game, I tried the shortcut, auto run and the EXE itself, but after the opening cutscene, the game crashes out to windows! if I restore all the altered files to their origional settings, everthing works, just no new ships! what gives. The d*mn thing use to work on my old comp!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hey, you know how to actually add ships? I tried to add the "TIE Phantom". Didn't work. I got BixHexEdit. Don't know how to use it, though. Can you give me the basics?

I tried adding a ship once. Game got messed up. Worse than a Pokémon game w/the MissingNo. or 'M glitch(es) (read: glitch to end all glitches). I'd backed everything up, so I didn't lose anything. And now, I'm against this OPT adding stuff. Do even one little thing wrong, and POOF! There goes your game...

Thats your lost realy. Believe me a lot of OPT's out there are much better than the once that come with the game and it isn't even that hard to install new OPT's.

Roccer, try reinstalling the 2.02 update again. I had to load it twice, Dont know why.
