Thumbs up Challange for Trekkies!

Who like to try and make the
Ultimate Star Trek Conversion,
you know if your good enough to do it.
If people know how to make 3ds into Dxf,
Then Dxf files into Opt files then contact me if your willing, and need some meshes for the conversions.
In this challange, as an extra, I was wondering if anyone could make phasers, torpedos, tractor beams and pulse
phasers like the actual ST Series.
The enimies can be anyone even a mix of baddies.
Of course the Feds will be the Azameens or Rebels.
I have many ideas, if your interested (and your a big trekkie, but that doesn't matter)

Hmmm. Photon and (more powerful) Quantum torpedoes would just be conversions of normal missiles/torps from the game (new opts, more destructive).

Pulse phasers are just beefed up blaster bolts, maybe with a space bomb opt and higher speed.

Phaser beams. . . maybe blaster bolts linked together in a chain andheld onto a vector so that the beam can be swept across a target without that "splashing" effect.

Star Trek style tractor beams are probably impossible in the XWA engine. Heck, XWA can't even do believable Star Wars style tractor beams.

Maybe a better idea would be a TC of that new Playstation (I think) game. Not Armada (that's PC), but the one where a group of experimental Valkyrie-class fighters is dispatched to help the Klingons deal with an unknown threat. Sorry I can't remember the name; I'll look it up and get back to you later.

You sound like you know what your talking about.
But what about the ships. I was hoping to have shuttles, runabouts and fed fighters as the fighters in the game, Defiants as the Corellian ships and whatever as the baddies. Hell it could even be a mix of Jem'hadar, Borg, Cardassian, Klingon and Romulans!!!!

---------------------------------------------
We must all work together to create the Star Trek TC and THAT is a goal we all share, Trekkies, Game Hakkers and Programmers!!
(Sorry I was just quoting of Tears of the Prophets!!)

The Defiant as a Corellian ship?! Unless it's the gunship, that'd be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY unbalanced (heck, you ould waste anything if you did it right).

Anywho, how would you calculate exact damages? Phasers and Photon Torps aren't turbolasers and Proton Torps. You'd have to get a whole new programming thingy up, and make a correct guess as to how the Phasers/Photons damage ships. And it'd have to please everyone. I've read crossover fics where a single photon blew apart an ISDII in one hit, and more that leave the Feds totally helpless, with the turbolasers carving through a Galaxy-class vessel almost instantly. Dominion would be easy, you'd just have their weapons super-powerful, but Feds/Romulans/Cardassians/Klingons would be murder to do.

And what's this about not being able to do an accurate Star Wars-style beam? They're invisible, and pulling would be MURDER on the XWA engine.

Wait, what am I talking about again?

MARRIL is confused!
MARRIL hurt himself in his confusion!

Weel the Defiant couldn't be unbalanced, she's got four forward fireing pulse Phasers all of which are too far apart ot hit a fighter, just larger capships

Who say that SD can't be a powerful as a Borg Cube?, or Domion Ship? Heck they could be either.
I think the tractor bea\m is too ambitious,
Maby the defiant could be a little smaller than usual or use a runabout.
I was thinking of using moire up-todate Fed ships like those in the Domion war, except maby no Excelsiors or Mirandas.

Belive me I know my ships, and the Defients Pulse Phasers do not Auto-converge.

The Defient is 170.68M long
134.11M Wide
And 30.1M High

She's got four decks, Pulse Phasers on Decks one and four Forward torp launchers on Deck four aft torp launcher on deck 4.

Shuttle bays on decks 3 and 4.
Cloaking device.
Ect, ect....

Wha'da ya mean no Excelsiors or Mirandas, they arent all that powerful. Miranda-class is one of the best IMO

I think Trek would get its a$$ kicked.

Federation Captain: We come in peace, we wish to open peaceful nego..
Imperial Captain: All guns open fire, all starfighters engage
Federation Captain: Uh wait, oh drat - target their weapon systems, then we'll hail them again and try to talk some sense into them *smug grin*
Federation Tactical Officer: Captain, they have hundres of laser batteries, which one would you like me to target?
Federation Science Officer: Captain! Those small fighters are firing weapons similar to Breen energy disruptors! Primary power is failing Captain!
Imperial Captain: Unidentified vessel, your shields are down and you have been disabled, prepare to be boarded - oh hang on I cant be bothered, too much paperwork you know, all guns open fire

end of story

Though I'd say the Klingons could probably teach the Imps a thing or two, what kind of impression would a de-cloaking Vor'Cha 500ft infront of a StarDestroyer's bridge give you

What I'm trying to say is we wont have any Imperials!!!!!
Instead we can have:
a)Klingons
b) Romulans
c)Borg
d)Domion, including Breen
So the sides would be fair.
And OK no Defiant as Corellian Ships.
We could have a mix of baddies, but I did have my heart set on the Borg.
The reason I wanted no mirandas or Excelsiors, (which was just a joke) is because they're the only ships on the FDomion wars that actually get destroyed (mostely).
If were always debating and never doing anything were going to be stuck with nothing but a huge conversation!

Enterprise E vs. Impstar Deuce

Picard: this is the Federation Vessel Enterprise hailing unidentified vessel, we come in peace.
The viewscreen turned on with the image of someone in a grey uniform.
Man: I am Captain Tyrson of the Imperial Star Destroyer Exorcist, surrender your vessel and prepare to be boarded.
Picard: surely there must be some way to negotiate this peacefully.
Tyrson: this is your final warning, lower your shields and stand down or prepare to be destroyed.
Picard: viewscreen off. Worf, prepare to target their weapon systems.
Worf: which turrets sir? There appear to be 120 beam emitters (lasers and ions) alone! And there are approximately 60 torpedo tubes!
The Enterprise suddenly rocked with hits.
Worf: this is impossible! they seem to be hitting us with lasers!
Riker should we even keep shields raised?
Picard: we'd better stop this right now. Mr. Worf, target the lasers and open fire.
The Enterprise fired phasers at the Exorcist's turbolaser turrets, destroying about 14 of them. In return, the Exorcist opened fire with its ion cannons.
Worf: their weapons seem to go right through our shields!
Picard: impossible, I thought we'd developed a counter against Breen energy weapons! Terget that tower and launch a spread of quantum torpedoes.
The Enterprise manoeuvred into position and launched 20 torpedoes at the Exorcist's bridge tower, but the torps were shot down before even touching the Exorcist's powerful shields.
Worf: that is impossible!
Picard: try to get us out of here, maximum warp!
Just then, a squadron of Scimitar Assault Bombers with a TIE Defender escort launched from the Exorcist's hangar bay, followed by 5 Assault Gunboats.
Picard: I don't know what they hope to achieve by launching one-man ships at us.
Worf: they are launching warheads of some sort, I cannot get a lock on them!
The Enterprise was thrown by the force of Heavy Rockets slamming against her hull.
Worf: shields down, they're aiming for out engines!
The Gunboats opened ion cannon fire at the Enterprise's main impulse drives, while the Defenders targeted her warp engines.
La Forge: sir, we can't escape.
Picard: open a hailing frequency, tell them that we surrender.
Worf: done, sir.
Tyrson appeared on the main viewscreen again.
Tyrson: we acknowledge your surrender, prepare to be boarded.
A few seconds later, an Assault Transport launched from the Exorcist, and landed in the Enterprise's hangar bay. A squad of stormtroopers departed and began shooting at the people in there.
Worf: sir, hangar bay 1 reports some troopers are opening fire!
Picard: captain Tyrson, what in the name of the Federation is going on?!
Tyrson: we hope to capture your vessel, it seems quite intriguing.
Worf: our secority officers seem to be no match for these assailants!
Three stormtroopers appeared from the turbolifts, and pointed their rifles at various crew members. Worf pulled out a phaser and shot at one of them, only to miss the trooper who was only 10 feet away (a tribute to his bad marksmanship). the trooper opened fire, blue rings engulfed Worf.
Tyrson: Picard, you'll be coming with us.

Just a little fic I wrote straight into the box. Hehe, so true, so true...

That's ********
The enterprise could kick the **** of of a StarDestroyer, the phaser would go throught he sheild and the quantum or photon torps would shed the ship apart.
My friend says "quite true."

Red face

Guys, its big bull**** you are doing here, 'cause

a)Who the hell says X-Wing Alliance is only capable of using these ships.
This is due to the fact that XWA is a STARFIGHTERSIMULATION, and hence there are very few one man ships in ST ,except for the shuttles maybe it is all crap.
Then again, have you ever noticed that the phasers of al fedships are only fireing one beam at a time which is able to destroy a ship at once.
Would mean you would have to reprogram the exe file in which the strength of the lasers is stored in.
AND the beam of the Fedships is like the one from the DeathS. means not in pieces but one constant beam. Seems impossible to me to change that.

b)For you f**ing treckies there is a game for yourself called STARFLEET Academy and a soon to be released KLINGON ACADEMY, so why don't you just leave us Warriors of the Force alone with your crap and play these baby games.

c)I do believe taht a Star Destroyer would be able to terminate an advanced Enterprise model with one shot.
Just bear in mind that an ISD is capable to turn a 300 sqkilometres large piece of plantet soil into glass, so why shouldn't it be able to annihiliate the Enterprise.

d)Even though this message sounds insulting it is not intended to do so.
I just wanted to show you that SW is SW and ST is ST and B5 is B5 and that all these stupid conversion talks are totally unneccesary (Well for B5 maybe, because they won't get a game after all) and unlogic.
X-Wing Alliance is based on some technology from "A long time ago" and ST is set in the future of Earth. To makwe an accurate simulation of a ST environment you would need the technology of SW at the same time that ST, which would by then have evolved quite far and would be way past the federations techn.

One word for you, Topace- CHILL.

People are free to waste their time anyway they want. After doing a little research, they would have figured this all out on their own. And if you just had to tell them this, you could have done so in a much more polite manner. There is no reason to jump on them in an immature manner like you did.

Unhappy

I just thaight It would be a good idea I didn't want an argument.
Just a chance to see what it would be like.
X-wing Alliance is my favourite game, and since i'm a really big Trekkie I just wanted to experiment, not debate.

Wasted effort anyway.

Borg Cube versus SSD.
-SSD is quickly assimilated.

Borg Cube versus ESD.
-ESD is also assimilated using information gained from assimilation of SSD.

Borg Cube versus Death Star.
-After assimilating the two Star Destroyers, the Borg are prepared for the Death Star's superlaser. In the first volley, the Borg cube takes 50% damage, then withdraws to regenerate. When the Borg return, they have adapted to the Death Star's offensive capability. DS is assimilated.

Borg Cube versus Galaxy Gun.
-Glaxy Gun remote-fires at Borg Cube. Borg assimilate projectile and learn about the Galaxy Gun. Borg travel to the Deep Core and assimilate the defenseless Galaxy Gun.

Borg Cube versus the entire New Republic fleet.
-After the Empire, the New Republic can offer the Borg nothing they haven't already dealt with. The New Republic contains greater diversity than the Empire, but they are fractured and individual. They are small. The Republic is assimilated one world at a time.

Borg Cube versus the Jedi.
-The Jedi can slow the Borg tide, but not stop it. The Force works from living creatures, and the Borg are only half-organic. While Force-sensitvity cannot be assimilated, the Jedi make excellent drones.

Borg Cube versus the Yuuzhan Vong.
-An interesting battle. Outcome unresolved.

Can you guess what my favourite species is?

We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

The Yuuzhan Vong stop the Borg's energy weapons cold, and the black hole shields stop beaming. The Yuuzhan Vong's weapon's annihilate the Borg Cube.

This thread's being closed for the sake that I don't like it.(Read I hate all this childish "This would win because I like it better")

If you want a slightly more intelligent(I will highly stress the "slight" part) check out this http://xwlegacy.outpostd34.com/ubb/F...ML/000089.html thread.

If you must argue, next time do so with solid figures not that "this universe is better because I like it" bull****.

Thank you.
