I was deeply shocked when I viewed an advert conatining Half Naked women on the bottom of your site.

This content is not suitable to youngsters! and even a person of my age has subsequently had several flashbacks/disruptive sleep.

This is not the viewing I expect from a family forum.

the ads aren't chosen by lucasforums, they have an ads deal with UGO and ugo sends their ads.
if you have firefox or an IE addon that can block images, right click on the ADD-> block images from this server. now you have an addless lucasforums (except google ads)

Women in bathing suits are everywhere on TV, atleast where I live... I can't understand how you cannot sleep at night.

Not so bad compared so some of the ones that have been showing lately on the sidebar:

"(picture of scantily dressed model) YOU CAN'T HAVE HER... (picture of even more scanitly dressed and not quite wearing as much makeup and hair dressing model) YOU CAN HAVE HER"

I'll move this to feedback. Trust me, we do care about the ad content and we've been trying to get them to be appropriate...

Who doesn't, but there's a fine line between "sexy trash" and "your everyday stupid ads that we have to have to pay the bills."

Ideally, all the ads on our site would be related to Star Wars or gaming (and other games for the non-Star Wars forums) and acceptable to a mixed audience of 13 and up.

The two things we want to avoid are scams and borderline porn. The second pic of the woman (who is "almost nude" from the angle) is pushing it, but just the fact that she's wearing a bathing suit isn't a big deal.

Only trouble with Google is that the ads can be inappropriate.

For example, a SWG ad can display people selling crap on ebay (like game accounts and weapons). I've seen emulator pages that had google ads advertising "rom cd's" (totally illegal to sell).

So there's a downside even to that...

Ahh, I have those adds too, honestly, that is hardly soft core porn. You see saucier things in Victoria secret magazines..
