Music Video Project Timey Fun!

So, I got an idea in gym class, listening to the song "Breaking the Habit." I normally hate Linkin Park, but this struck me as awesomely perfect for a video about D'Artagnan and Raz.

But I have it written up. I had this idea Purple Squid (our local cartoonist wizard) and Smon (our local flash wizard) could make a music video out of it. I have a script written up. Note that it DOES in fact contain spoilers for my story, thus, spoiler tags.

spoiler:

D'Artagnan is walking across the desert, not showing his face. Several angles, or something.
Memories consume
Like opening the wound
I'm picking me apart again
You all assume
I'm safe here in my room
Unless I try to start again
Cut to Raz and Dart (eyes hidden under cap shadow) singing. I know phonetic mouth movements, so if you need anything like that, ask me.

[Bridge:]
I don't want to be the one
The battles always choose
'Cause inside I realize
That I'm the one confused
Dart is walking through a village in the desert.
[Chorus:]
I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
I don't know how I got this way
A little girl peeks out from a tent, sees Dart, and hides.
I know it's not alright
So I'm breaking the habit
I'm breaking the habit
Tonight
Dart stops in the desert to pick a single rose.

Clutching my cure
I tightly lock the door
Show memory of Crystal turning away Dart (in Raz's body)
I try to catch my breath again
Dart drops it to the ground and it gets blown away in the wind.
I hurt much more
Show flashback of Raz walking away, dejected.
Than anytime before
I had no options left again
More singing.

[Bridge:]
I dont want to be the one
The battles always choose
Show Dart meeting Raz atop a plateau.
'Cause inside I realize
That I'm the one confused

[Chorus:]
I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
Dart walks up the stairs, to a giant tomb. Do not show what is on top, a huge gold statue of Dart.
I don't know how I got this way
I'll never be alright
So, I'm breaking the habit
Show flashback of Dart battling Razputin, and being slammed to the ground.
I'm breaking the habit
Tonight
Dart takes a piece of chalk, and begins writing furiously. Several angles throughout the bridge.
[Bridge:]
I'll paint it on the walls
'Cause I'm the one at fault
I'll never fight again
Show Dart getting his hand removed by the shield bridging its gap.
And this is how it ends

[Chorus:]
I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
But now I have some clarity
to show you what I mean
Dart looks up to see his own statue, and looks down to see a plaque that says "In Loving Memory.
I don't know how I got this way
I'll never be alright
So, I'm breaking the habit
Flash memory of a gigantic plant monster emerging from the gorge, and gripping Dart.
I'm breaking the habit
I’m breaking the habit
Return to the temple graffiti.
Tonight
Dart finally turns around, with an insane, one eye bigger than the other and pupils shaking around in their eyes look, fading away from his hand first.

Seriously guys. If you could do this, it would be rad, and save humanity.

Well, at least, make everyone happy.

If you think it's stupid, just remember this as my idea for a music video.

Seriously.

I'd love to do this. Cept I can't draw for crap. If Squid can draw everything I can trace and animate for ya. I'd really, really like doing this. (in a creative slump, reight now just using the latest Flash Pro 8 ot make a crappy sprite comic.)

Isn't it D'artagan and not D'artagnan? That's what it says on the concept art at least. Am I missing something?

I'm glad I'm being reffered to as 'cartoonist wizard'. It makes me happy. I have to do a 40 frame animation by Thursday, and I could do a little smaple from this. I can always put the frames together in Dogwaffle.

I was thinking on making a Music Video script of Gorillaz's "Feel Good Inc." Everytime I hear that song, I picture Fred break-dancing while Crispin looks on.

NO NO NO NO NO!!! Anybody see video mods? It's where they take video games and popular songs, and make the characters sing the songs!! We could write a letter to MTV2 and see if they could make a psychonauts video!!!!

...they won't do it. MTV2 is just a buncha shows that used ot be on MTV but either got cancelled or are popular enough for two channels. VideoMods isn't popular so it is therefore cancelled.

ok, give my brainchild death, but I wanna at least make it down home and write a psychonauts song. I'm already doing an broadway show based on the game. I could rewrite the Sasha love song "How can I tell her?"

No. This isn't about the game. PS's style is exactly what I need for the craziness of Dart, and how the video would work.

And I could seriously acquire PC version and make him sing for myself.

And so I will. He will sing Chaccaron Maccaron.

Also, actiony scenes are REALLY hard to animate, if you've ever done one.

I've always been a meanie fo feanie. Just don't take it to heart. I do want you to speak up about your problems and hey it's okay if you post it once. But it's on every board now and it's hard to respond to.

I've also got an idea for a music video, but its really random. The song is tribulations and is would have clips of Boyd in and out of his mind. Its all in my head, I just wouldn't be able to ever make a good music video of it!
