Co-op maps

On the issue of co-op maps, here's what I have in mind: OJP shall be the platform where you can relive battles as Jedi or mercenary against NPCs, in "Serious Sam" fashion. There's no limit to the timelines - it can take place during the Old Republic era, or New Republic era, or around the settings where Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy take place

What I need now are two things: ideas for background settings and concept art/sketches (not very important though, as I can do these myself)

So far, I already have the following settings in mind:

We don't have time to make seperate teams for CoOp.

Secondly, I don't think there was a jedi academy on Yavin 4 when the Death Star was around.

Not separate teams. They're 2 separate maps, but the event is the "same". Meaning let's say Max, hock and I play on the first map, then when objectives are complete, assuming the second map is part of the map cycle, then we will go to the second map

Sorry about the Death STar part. I meant to have "Imperial outpost"

Looks good! Unfortunately I have no idea what Iridonia looks like =\

I've already drawn out the blueprints for 4 maps. I will finish a 5th one and then start on the editor

Primary terrain

Rocky Canyons, Acid Pools and Seas, some small normal temperate rain forests where most populations live. Some winds get up to 200 km per hour. so maby have them land in the canyon area and have them come in on swoops and in the forest are they have to get off because its to forested and have a city in the forest

Well UDM and I could probably do that. Somehow make a Revan model NPC to help. Unfortunately PCgamemods is down and it had all the good Revan models.

Hmmmm, hit me up on MSN tomorrow UDM, I might be able to help you. Infact I can probably map out all the work for you. I can leave texturing, events, shaders, etc. for you while I do the architecturing.

also if it helps i have the kotor mandalorion models and theres an ok skin of the republic soldier on jk3files.com and i was thinking so that we can face more than just gunners we put in mandalorions with vibroblades with limited force saber attack and defand so there are saber wierlders but not light saber wielders

That would be a good idea. There is a good vibro blade model on JK3files.com, only problem is I don't know how to make that said NPC have what sort of weapon.

Anyway, best bet would be to PM UDM the models and let him handle that. I'm handling the architecturing of the maps.

Hey I just had a fun idea for a final boss on one of these maps. I don't really care about the skin or model of the character as long as its cool, but give them this: http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Megasaber;49353 If you make it a dark atmosphere, and the players suddenly see them turn it on for the first time, they'll freak! LOL. Its fun to play around with against bots and will make the boss pretty hard I hope. Also, that wrist saber at JK2files is pretty cool too.

We could make the final boss Mandalore. After all, wasn't he slain at Malachor? Could give him saber only. Say it is his "trophies" like Grievous.

Maybe, although if we do use that megasaber, it should probably be a very powerful looking jedi or sith using it since such a weapon would require great control.

Megasaber looks incredibly unrealistic though. I think we should aim for something that is canon to SW, yet maintain the fragfest level of fun
