Is Escape from monkey island worth it?

K i have tryed escape from monkey island, and its seems fun. i am thinking of buying the game, but is it worth it? I have heard of the other three ones, and i have not played any of em. Should i get one of them? Or maybe Grim fandego? Someone tell me if it is the best choice i can make buying ths game. Laterz

If you want the full thrill of the epics of Monkey Island....I would get the 2-d...not real good graphic MI1...and start from there..If you don't care and you just wanna have fun and not kno whats goin on....get MI4...take yer pick...MI1 is like 2$ now....sooo u can buy it easy

I believe that EMI could stand alone as it's own game. It doesn't need the other three games to be played first to be fun. But I would recommend playing all of them since I don't think there are any "weak" games in the series, as long as you can put up with some outdated graphics. Besides, a lot of EMI is based on earlier happenings in the series, but their not that important, so they can be overlooked.

All 4 games AND Grim Fandango is my advice.

i have to diasagree i don`t think you can play emi without having some prior knowledge of the other games due to the reused characters especially on melee , emi was a huge dissapointment and mi 2rules every time
