Major error on XP

I spend ages buying all the Dark Forces and jedi knight game on various trading and games shops. I win Dark Forces and install Dark Forces 2.

AND IT DOESN'T WORK!?

It's weird. It worked fine at first, except the movies which were a bit pixelated (?) and when I saved the game crashed and asked to send an error report. But I lived round that because the saves were fine when I loaded up. Now none of my saves work and it won't let me start a new game! Please help, I ***need*** to play outcast.

Install the latest Direct X versions and see if there are any codecs, drivers or the likes on the CD that you need to install. Scourge the internet for people with similar problems and see what they cooked up.

Already have checked for other problems like this. Most people say upgrade to vista.

and look for the unoffical patch and install it

this will fix the windows error report

The unofficial patch worked brilliantly. I can save and it doesn't crash now thanks. Still have problem with parts of the videos appearing black though.

download and irc chat program like MIRC

then connect to ZIRC

once its connected a window will pop up and type in #jkhub

and youll be able to chat to all the jkhub peeps

when using the irc program choose irc.synirc.net instead of zirc.org

then when your connected go to #jkhub

and you should be all set

Can't seem to get through at any time really. I tried 10:00 am here which according to the international clock website should be about 5:00pm over there.
