I'll ;ay ambushes along thin roads. I'll also go for 2-5 pronged attacks. I've played people before, they say I'm a really good strategeist. I study those in my free time. Want to lern strategys? Read Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Or Art of War by Sun Tzu

In GC I just tote my Death Star around and blow the space station up then let my ISD have at it with the cruisers and other little ships around.

Space: I usually split my fighters up to get mines, then i fool the enemy into attacking my station( with a fleet protecting it) while fighters race near their station and poof, a bunch of bombers and missle cruisers race in and destroy their station quickly with use of hypervelocity gun.=)

Land: I try to find a route where i can flank the enemy into thinking im gonna try to attack them by getting landing pads. Then i send a bunch of heroes to protect base nad use at ats to destroy enemy base
