One Feature I would Love to See

I kinda like OJP but there is one thing I would love to see happen...

Good NPC AI, there is a mod out there that has a near perfect AI system that mimics SP very well by a guy named Super Dindon

This mod has NPC force teams, NPC follow and attack commands, and the best MP AI for NPCs to my knowledge. If you are able to get permission from Dindon, maybe you could merge the AI system for better CO OP and stuff. Because I think it would be cool if you could have Jedi or Sith following you in MP and having NPC fights and stuff with smart OJP AI

Maybe I am dreaming to much about smart AI but, maybe a good NPC Follow Command at least?

I tried to merge in Dindon's changes a long time ago, but it didn't make it very far.
- I hate merging code manually. It's a huge hassle.
- Dindon only really provided the code, beyond that all the work was on me.
- While Dindon's code worked, it didn't play nicely with the real SP AI code, which I was able to get samples of.
- A lot of his code is actually still in OJP.

Anyway, some NPC ally commands is a good idea. I suggest you log a bug ticket for it and maybe it will be implimented at some point.

I tested it and I'm impressed. These npc would be great for my map. And there could be buyable npc (as skills) to command them. Nice idea and if someone can make it work it would be fantastic.

Too complicated and it's not something OJP needs right now in my opinion.

well there will eventually be a stormtrooper npc skill. That been in the planning for a long time and really isn't that hard to create especially for darth. that will be fun with the new grip ant push and pull knockdown code

What I think would be necessary would at the very least be NPC Follow and Human Players setting there NPC team Preference on FFA, but on Team/CTF it should always be TEAM_PLAYER NPCs on Blue and TEAM_ENEMY on Red.

Those 2 things would make me a happy OJP camper

I wonder... is it possible to make new playerteams? playerteam_imperial, playerteam_rebel, etc. etc.

It's possible with code changes. WIthout code changes, I think you can do it for Siege with some file modifications.
