Don't get your hopes up just yet, EW.

But even with that statement, its still kinda exciting (to me, it was exciting whenever they fix a bug. It just means its 1 bug less to a bug free TSL the fan-base always wanted.)

It may not be a countdown to the realease, but as the bug count starts getting very low like it is now, it sure as hell means the release is getting a hell of a lot closer.

Yes, but there may be bugs the Beta Testers might not find in one play through, so that when they play it again, another bug may pop up on the mantis. Or when they progress to a new build, they may find another Major, Crash, or Block bug, meaning a lot of time is put in to fix that bug.
I'm not here to crash everyone's dreams, but rather, to bring them back to earth. Meh.

Well, at least, someone was being realistic.

As for myself, I hope that these are the last bugs to be fixed; If not, I can still wait.

Saying that the bug count is at four is extremely realistic. In fact, it's absolute truth.

There's nothing you can dispute about my two statements - That the count is at 4, and that I'm excited.

I doubt it would go up that high, but yeah, it's possible that new bugs will be discovered. Still, as it's down so low now, we shouldn't have that long left.

It depends on how Team Gizka have decided to go about the release.

No.

<insert several over-used, annoying-assed "when it's done" smileys here>

You know, I'd really love to see a version of that occursed smiley with a big, bleeding bullet hole between its eyes.

It could be another year or more (no, really!) for all we know. Speculating that it's going to be done in a "month max" (riiiiiight ) is only going to lead to disappointment for yourself and anyone who reads your post and is gullible enough to believe it.

And Trigger is right: the bug count doesn't mean jack. I can practically guarantee that it's going jump back up... again.

Fix their home team score on the board to the debt clock, they can win every game 17,000,000,000,000 to 24. Losing team gets taxed by the IRS 100%, then droned."

There's at least three threads over on the Team Gizka forums where people can waste their time speculating about release dates. Can we please not do so here aswell?

"Practically guarantee"... I really can't stand this phrasing. It's utterly oxymoronic. It means nothing.

The smiley serves its purpose. You can't make any claim about the count at all, since you aren't involved with the project.

I made a reasonable prediction based on the observed occurances of the past 3.5 years. It wasn't a "claim."

Well, it jumped back to 6 bugs. It just means less bugs for us. Either way, I'd say it's getting close to the end. I'm not saying by the end of the year, but rather that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.

And I contend that it was reasonable prediction. As things turned out, it was more than reasonable.

I for one am perfectly willing to agree to disagree in order to avoid yet another pointless (and tiresome) semantic argument.

Wow... you folks are getting a little heated.... reminds me of every other few days at the TG forums.

I will guarantee this: There will be more bugs. I have two to report that I have not finished retesting, to make sure that I am not spamming the team.

There will be more HK factory issues, but I haven't been able to get there, as a Red Eclipse cutscene block has killed my current character for now.... so I will need to start a new char to get as far as the factory.... factoring real life as a factor in time to play, it will take me a bit to get there. Obviously, I am not the only one testing, so the likelihood of more bugs is reasonably likely.

Really, the progress has gone incredibly well, despite recent hiccups, and is certainly nearing completion. But speculation as to when/ how soon, is just ridiculous. I am reminded of the nonsense that is going on in the Solomon's Revenge thread, with perturbing questions and assumptions and general neediness.

Please, all, keep your pants on. Leave semantical arguments to the wordsmiths, or take it over to Kavar's Corner.

Most of all, remain calm. Stop drop and roll.

You know it's killing me not to quote the company line.....

Oh, and it's your place to tell us to "leave semantical (sic) arguments to the wordsmiths" or to leave the thread? I don't like getting moderated by non-moderators.

_EW_

You don't like being moderated by non-moderators? Boy this is an odd statement EW as you have done so yourself on occasion in the past to many other posters. Granted most of the time you were right, and in the case of the above qui_gon_glenn is quite correct here.

I strongly suggest though that you all learn to use the report a post function instead of making mod impersonations at all though. -RH

I have done some thread pruning, but since this whole thread has become useless spam crap I am simply placing a blanket warning here...

For EVERYONE this is the last warning for this thread, anymore of this tit-for-tat argument crap and useless posts about the bug counter or other nonsense this thread is GONE forever.

Edit: Let me remind all of you...

I strongly suggest that you all take heed and perhaps let this thread go until the mod makers post something themselves in the form of an update.

Agreed! ~tk

Update: This thread is now on a no post warning, meaning only the OP or the mods 'team' members may post updates here... any other noodles post about the bug counter or simply to bump the thread and it goes away for good. So please take care folks cause the 'special treatment' days are over for this thread.
