I actually do recommend SWG even if no one else likes it. But that is just me. I like Jar Jar Binks and Juhani as well even though I am practically the only one

Thanks for all the suggestions! Now I wish I could actually roleplay with all of you guys!
If I had my dream RP scenario, this is how it would go:
I'm born a humble character, with no distinct lineage to speak of--no great-great-grandfathers who were kings, no ladies who were especially beautiful or fond of magic, no touch of dragon blood within my veins or other quasi-supernatural enhancements. I'm just an ordinary character, and I start to make my way in the world by "hitting stuff."
I start off on the right foot, but eventually fall in with the wrong crowd. My so-called "friends" convince me to betray everything I've known and join them in their sinister but ultimately stupid plan to gain power, glory, and other assorted riches. Since the plan fails, I'm sent into exile, where I make my way again, wanting to redeem myself but facing new temptations as a wanderer. The Dark Side always beckons--will I prevail?
Oh, yeah--I'm eventually redeemed one way or the other by humble work and L-U-V!
I wonder if anyone would like to play through this with me in a game, as I'm "The Exile!"

swg is a good choice if you want to roleplay in the star wars universe.
Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

Slag off Swg as much as you want, the real reason i enjoyed it is because i actually played it instead of complaining about it like everyone else did. When you look past the doomsayers and the "14-day professionals" it's great.

Maybe Pre-NGE. The fact remains that the MMO might have been good if they had stuck to their guns somewhere along the line. Instead, they keep changing crap around. Not to mention retarded ideas like Hologrinding.
And, for the record, I do kind of know what I'm talking about. I played SWG for a little while, and both of my brothers played it for years. Hell, my eldest brother ran a fairly major city on...dang. I think it was Tarquinas. You are not speaking to a neonate.

Jedi was meant to be a rare profession. Hologrinding was a decent process to weed out the wimps in order to become a Jedi, it worked tbh.

I recommended NONE of those MMO's.
Though Star Wars Galaxies, I heard is pretty good, not great, but good.
SWG: 7.1/10
But, World Of Warcraft is the only true great MMO out there.

No, Herbie. Hologrinding was retarded. You have to master a random number of professions? How on EARTH does that reduce the number of Jedi? You have 'Everyone can eventually become Jedi'. They subsequently replaced it with EVERYONE can become Jedi at the bloody beginning. One must wonder what exactly Sony had put in their communal bong. While in a drunken slumber following getting beaten half to death I could conceive better ideas to control the number of Jedi. Number One: It's Original Trilogy Era - DON'T ALLOW JEDI.
Geez.

Age of Conan in around 4-6 month i think will be really good. I played it for like 1½ month then i become pretty boring because lack of content at 80. Siege battle, one of the major things that did so i got the game is kind of buggy at the moment, but they working on it and in evry patch there are some things fixed with it.
But what i wait for the most is when they will fix the PvP system, with PvP items and such. But at the moment i can't really recommend it in the long run

Well, there all have their good sides and bad sides, I personally play wow, and I have taken a good look at SWG, I really don't understand why everything thinks its so terrible.
I'd suggest SWG, mainly because of the different character you can be, but in the end, it pales in comparison to playing WoW, MMO's aren't very fun without friends to play with, hence why I think the 10 day trials are a tad pointless, you can't get used to a MMO in 10 days.
