KOTOR or TOR
Ok, I'm confused. I thought they said it was a Kotor game. From what I've read on the official site, the game is called: The Old Republic.
Isn't there a difference between KOTOR and TOR???

KotOR is short for "Knights of the Old Republic", while the MMO is going to be "The Old Republic" and apparently is going to include more than just Jedi Knights.

Well, if there isn't much of a different, why not just called is Knights of the Old Republic: The Old Republic or something.

It appears to me that you can play in a faction as a non-Jedi or non-Sith, hence you won't be a Knight with that class. It looks like they wanted to spread out into more professions and classes than just Knights/Sith.

Duh! Most people who play any time of star wars role playing want to be the Jedi/Sith with a lightsaber. Maybe like 10% would want to be a Bounty Hunter, but what good is being in the Star Wars Universe without a Lightsaber, lol.

Idk...I don't think I want to play this game. I was extremely disapointed with The Force Unleashed. The graphics were great, but the storyline sucked bigtime! (At least in my opinon.)

The only reason I bought that game up, is because Lucas was in on the Project and I'm sure he was in on this one. And lately Lucas has been off his game on coming up with and approving storylines for the new star wars games.

I think that TOR is the death of KOTOR. If this takes place 300 years after the original, then it ensures that KOTOR III is never released and never resolves the conflict of the first two.
That is my perspective on this.

Actually, I agree with, Darth_Yuthura. I mean its been 3 years already. And if this game gets on the best seller list, there is a chance of a sequel for it. (Depending how well it does, of course.)
