New Ideas for LightSabers
Anyone got some new ideas for lightsabers?
Ive been thinking about this one for awhile. What if you took two of Dokoos handle and attached them making a double bladed saber in the shape of a S.

they can be...
They've done a lot of variations with Sabers, Proto, single, double, curved, tonfa, shoto, staff, "Whip", and obviously apart from clan sabers they were mostly personalized

I think it'd be great to have some really big guy w/ a huge lightsaber (like a massive blade)...like that huge guy in Dark Forces 2...he had a massive lightsaber, and I thought that was pretty cool...

This was in an EU book already, but a lightwhip would be cool. Basically a lightsaber, except a whip. Could be very deadly.
Also, maybe I´m getting a little too X-Men here, but how about mini lightsabers that attach to your fingers - basically like having little lightsaber claws.
I don´t know...just my ideas...

Yeah, Iv'e seen that weapon a few times in the comics as well as novels. I just wonder how in a galaxy far, far away you would be able to get laser energy to do that. Hell, laser swords stretch the imagination but light whips!? *sigh* I must surrender to the suspension of disbelief.
Light whips have actually been described two ways: as a pure energy beam that is flexible or as a malleable whip made of energy conducting material that when activated becomes surrounded by laser like energy.
Speaking of hand mounted lightsabers, I remember seeing a piece of concept art for Episode III where Plo Koon has a wrist mounded weapon similar to what you described HOP.

How about a twist, where a Force user instead of creating a Saber, creates a pistol. kind of like a old wild west gunslinger who could do tricks and ricochets in the middle of a firefight. Or better yet he uses the force to TK some reflectors into battle and uses them to hit people behind cover with ricochets.
Lightsaber Tonfas, where there is a grip to the side 90 degrees from the blade. Great for dual wields since you could block and attack with either hand.

^It's possible, although harder, but gives you more unpredictable moves and more damage. Do you know Lu Bu from Dynasty Warriors 6 (sorry for off-topic)? He's doing fine with his Quad Ji or Double Voulge. Tri Blade shouldn't be very difficult for a very skilled double-bladed lightsaber wielder like Darth Maul and Exar Kun.

Let's hope someone hear that and make some cool concept arts. Hope the resolution is big.

George Lucas won't allow gunblade or FF or any anime/manga contents to enter Star Wars. Sorry to spoil your dream, but face the reality. Star Wars is a classy and awesome story, not some childish anime story.
I write childish anime story, because in fact those stories just talk about ridiculous power and stupidly forget about basic physics. All they talk is about being the strongest, being the greatest, and act like a cool cold guy. Oh God, I hate Naruto, One Piece, and especially Death Note. And they always insult Christian. Notice that they wear those cross-shaped necklace. And pray to Jesus but kills people like kills animal. B*stard anime writers. And the stupid thing is, many Christians love anime/manga. Heresy. Blasphemy.
Sorry if I insult anime/manga. No offense for those who love anime/manga. Just my opinion.
Most fun I've ever had with my clothes on!

Maybe a light-axe or a light-hammer. I don't know how they'd work though. How about a light-spear, just a double-bladed saber with a barb on the end of it.

One Halloween I picked up some cheap costume accessories that were basically "saber sais" (three blades facing up, the two outer blades being shorter and a different color than the center one)... and yes, I did duct tape them together.
But my favorite idea is the gun that shoots lightsabers.
Over the top? Sure, but who cares, we're using our imaginations here...

Short Blades
What about two short blades and beskar gauntlets to block lightsaber attacks and get close. Maybe even a short lightsaber built into a gauntlet. I hate this analogy but it's the best way to describe it, but think assasins creed mixed with jedi.
I think it would be interesting to have a small order of said "jedi". But make them amber jedi (use light and dark). They would be like Boba Fett and his Mandalorians. You wouldn't know whether to like them or hate them.

how about getting a bionic arm and welding a lightsaber to it? or have a whole robotic arm, which folds your forearm into the bicep and extends a lightsaber?
