[TSL] Padawan Enhancement Mod
I'm just beginning work on my Padawan Enhancement Mod. I'm completely new to TSL modding so I'm pretty much learning as I go along and could really use the help of some more experienced modders.
Here is what the mod will consist of:
A new list of dialogue options after a character accepts Jedi training. Rather then the standard outcome (ex: Atton becomes Jedi Guardian) I want to have 2 seperate menu's that will pop up based on the party member's current alignment.
Light Side
Select a blade color for (party member)...
Blue (Jedi Guardian)
Yellow (Jedi Sentinel)
Green (Jedi Consular)
Dark Side
Select a blade color for (party member)...
Red (Dark Jedi Guardian)
Purple (Dark Jedi Sentinel)
Orange (Dark Jedi Consular)
Along with the selection of Jedi class I of course want the blade of the corresponding color to appear in the inventory.
Also based on the selection of original class I want to tie in prestige classes that will activate when that party member reaches Jedi level 15. For this I want to tie the following prestige classes to the aforementioned selected classes.
Light Side
Jedi Guardian - Jedi Weapon Master
Jedi Consular - Jedi Master
Jedi Sentinel - Jedi Watchman
Dark Side
Jedi Guardian - Sith Marauder
Jedi Consular - Sith Lord
Jedi Sentinel - Sith Assassin
This is all I have planned for version 1.0. I do have features planned for future versions that add to the experience as well but that will be a surprise for later. So basically any help that anyone would like to put in would be greatly appreciated (as well as credited). Also I wouldn't mind having another more experienced member on the project with me. If you are interested in joining the project just post here or PM me.
Thanks alot guys!
PS: Feedback is always more then welcome!

Nice idea, you can make prestige class for Visas too. Only thing that i don't like will be making non-jedis even more useless.

True, but all prestige class really does is open up some new force powers and feats. If there are balancing issues I'm sure I can sort them out in an update.

Nice idea.
USM did something similar, when you made the force-sensitive members of the crew Jedi you got the option of having them build their own saber as well as a replica saber.
You also got the option of training them further in the ways of the force.

Ya I am combining alot of stuff people have already done (I intend on fully crediting them for it as well) as well as expanding alot more then I have seen as of yet. I'm actually doing decently well on my own as of now (I've already finished atton's dialog as well as the jedi guardian script. Only 5 more of each left lol.) Couldn't have done it without the help of some fellow modders

Almost all of my code was obtained from tk102. The rest was taken from the files in the game. All of the dialog changes were written by me. I'm just talking about idea wise. Mainly I just looked at what their coding was like in their source files to see how they did something but yeah like I said anything script related was written for me by tk102 ( I was having some troubles lol)
Honestly the closest thing out there to this was ssprestigepadawans and that is quite a bit different from what I am doing here. But seeing that mod gave me the idea for this one so I'm crediting him for it. (I mean why not right?)
(After seeing what happened with K2RP the last thing I'd do is take something someone else did and call it my own or even take it without permission)

I have completed the first stage of the mod which includes the ability to select the type of crystal that party member will use (and therefore their class). I will start testing it myself immedietly although I could really use some help. If anyone is interested e-mail at {Snip} PM Me instead and I will send you a copy of the current version of the mod

I kind of cracked down yesterday and decided to start from scratch so the mod is officially finished and has been submitted to filefront. I will post in upper when it becomes available! The only thing I couldn't implement was prestige classes for npcs (apparently the game is fickle when it comes to adding a third class :P)

I have an idea for that, remake all classes in the utc files that change into jedi, jedi first, and then when you make them jedi, instead you make them a prestige class. I've messed around with this myself, and Redhawke did something similar with Kreia becoming a Jedi Master, which I never understood why any of the "Jedi Masters" or "Sith Lords" in the game do not actually have the correct classes in their utc files. I changed them all, including Visas to reflect that she is a sith apprentice to the Dark Lord Nilhis not a Jedi Sentinel from the Academy on Dantooine.

Characters can only have 2 classes in both games...
Only Kreia and Visas can have a Prestige class... legitimately anyway.

Yeah, I would love to have a Visas conversion, mod, into a Sith Marauder

Perhaps having something like in the K1 Lightsaber Choices mod? There you could choose whether you wanted a single saber, 2 single sabers, a short saber, 2 short sabers or a saber staff.
If you had a similar choice in this mod you could let each player choose the option they prefer most.
