I almost applied there, but I decided that I wanted to stick with a small, private school. Big schools aren't really my thing.

Good thing: (Also can be viewed as bad thing)
I get a 48 hour week next week at work, overnight shifts from 12am-830am. I'm going to be a wealthy zombie.
The right after that, I get another 12 hours of triple shift pay (being 27 dollars an hour, excellent)

Just busted open a dead 500W stereo (main circuit board irreparably cracked from being slammed too hard)--jackpot of expensive electronic components.
Repairing a few PS2 controllers I got for free due to frayed cords.
Score some dead microwaves and TV sets. I also get paid by the refuse company here and there to independently take care of some of this "hazardous" stuff. I'm not an environmentalist but there is something kind of cool getting paid to help recycling stuff for raw materials.
Plus find after market sales/uses for stuff I pick up on the side.

Indeed, Star Trek was fantastic.
Why isn't there a thread made about it?
@leXX: Hmm, I never played through Psychonauts. How do you like it?

I haven't even played it yet. I was browsing Steam, and came across it and thought 'why the hell haven't I played this yet? I loved the demo'. So when I get around to playing it, I'll let you know.

May as well put up the box. Got it for cheap. MP issues are pretty bad, but playing single player isn't that bad of a settlement.
Got it from Goozex... had no idea if I'd want to pay for it. But I like it a lot in the hour or so I've played of it last night. They don't call it "Edge of Control" for nothing, you blink and you'll fly off the track. Which means intensity.

Just got me for my XBOX360

Plus an Intracooler of the new model, so my other cooling prototype could be used elsewhere.
Should be interesting considering the last chapter I have is SUPER SF2 for the SNES.

Well, I'm assuming you didn't buy a MadCatz Fightpad or an arcade stick along with the game, so you're stuck with the regular Xbox 360 controller. Working that analog stick through QCFs, QCBs and other assorted moves will take a toll on your left thumb, no doubt.
I'm always up for a throwdown if you or anyone else with SFIV on Live want.

That actually reminds me, I cracked and ponied up the MS points to buy an alternate costume pack for the girlies in SFIV. ;s

Well, now I totally understand about Chun Li. Just check my wallpapers.
Sakura? ...... (checks wikipedia, digs DVD archive finds dusty SF alpha w/ Lia Sergeant's autograph on the cover...) Ah, her. She replaced Chunner's sort of ryu fangirl-ish role in the manga if I do recall...

Yeah, Chunners' thighs are pretty massive. One of the titles you can unlock is actually 'Thunder Thighs' and it's pretty appropriate. I think only Zangief's thighs are bigger than hers in the game and even then it's by a pretty small margin.
And if you think her thighs are big...
Lookit dem man hands, jeebus.
But her alternate costume is the best out of all the girlies, bar none.

Viper's alternate is pretty good too ;3

^^^ As only capcom can. As only capcom does. Sure they make more proportional characters too, but their characters with large limbs, hands, and feet are more memorable.

Seriously look at those things... her left thigh is bigger than her chest, surely that must break some Japanese law somewhere.

It's fantastic. And I say that not because I'm a regular at RD, but because it's fact.
I hooked up my digital cable converter box yesterday all by myself, which was a hastle. I also bought some cookies to bake, and dissected an array of sea creatures in the past few days. =D

Between messing around with my computer's issues and listening to podcasts I spent a good 4 hours playing the Baja game today... and I've got to say, I really really like it.

Woke up this morning and decided I wanted to watch Spirited Away... so I did. Revelation time!
I just realized I don't ever watch movies, ever. There are so many DVDs my family has that I've never touched, so I've decided that my time would be better spent catching up rather than just look at random Digg articles for 2 hours per day.
So now I've got multiple podcasts, The Persona 4 Endurance Run, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and now a stack of movies in addition to video games, school work, and work work.
Whooo... maybe I should actually finish the crap I have... I mean, back in January or so my brother and I watched the entire Extra Super Extended cuts of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy together. Just Return of the King alone is 252 minutes long, that's 4 hours and 12 minutes FFS!! I also watched Lawrence of Arabia in two sittings and then The Great Escape (both awesome movies by the way).
Anyway, my guaranteed stack:
Ratatouille
Wall-E (I've seen it in theatres, but not a second time)
Slumdog Millionaire
Tropic Thunder
The Incredibles (my fav Pixar movie, wanna watch again)
May or may not stack:
Pirates of the Caribbean 2
Pirates of the Caribbean 3
Monsters Inc. (my third favorite Pixar movie)
Finding Nemo (my fourth)
I should watch these again sometime:
The Great Escape
Lawrence of Arabia
Dirty Harry
Also, when is the Gran Torino DVD gonna come out?
...
...
Oh god, this is just reminding me of all the media failures I've had. Books, movies, games, TV shows... awwww gawd.
Books: LotR (read all the way 'til book 4 of 6), Harry Potter (got up to #5), Musashi (half way), Battle Royale (half way), My 30 Year War (half way), Bone (20% perhaps), Yotsuba&! Manga.
Games: Mass Effect, The Witcher, Mirror's Edge, The Sims *cough*, Fallout 3, Zeno Clash, CoD:WaW on PC, Baja EoC, Dark Sector, Lost Odyssey, GTA4 TLaD on 360 (This is really ones I'm "working on" now)
Movies: (Other than the above mentioned, I would like to see more Miyazaki films)
TV: Avatar (I got to the first "funny" episode and was pretty much repulsed after the awesome first couple episodes), House (used to be a big fan, just stopped), ... you know what, I don't care that much for TV shows. Though now I just remembered I think I skipped a few episodes of Full Metal Alchemist... which I watched 5 years ago... This is killing me.
Summer vacation - Please grant me the strength to complete at least a small proportion of these works.

With aforementioned massive heatsink, successfully overclocked an intel Q6600 to 3.6ghz which was previously not possible
now I have to think of a way to make the geforce 280 not heat up enough to fry an egg, which so far seems impossible.

I find that a lot of people are in the same situation where they feel they must "catch up" with their peers but do not actually take anything away from the books they read, movies they watch, or music they listen to.
EDIT: I realize how much of an ******* this makes me sound like but I promise you i was actually trying to gauge how you viewed and digested the various media you are talking about. I have a friend who prides himself on having listened to all of Dmitri Shostakovich's symphonies at least once (that's more than a dozen 45-60 minute symphonies) but he can't really tell me what he learned from doing so

I watched Lawrence of Arabia and loved it... I don't think that's an example of "catch up".
