Thank God Laserschwert taught us what Redfield Perfectum is!
Bound only by the paper thin wrapper of mortality, a soul here lies, struggling to be free, and so it will thanks to a bowl of bad gazpacho and a man named Calavera!

As he should. Purcell doesn't have publication rights, and those he sells his art to has exclusive publication rights; so doing so would dilute their product and as such detract from its value. Purcell isn't stupid, he's not going to shoot himself in the foot.

Haven't had any posts here in a while, figured I might as well revive it.
Don't think this has been talked about yet (or maybe it has, sorry) but I finally got A Vampyre Story and by the end of the month can get you a hires scan of the box if you would like. Not sure of any legal things with that one though as the game is still pretty new, just a thought though.

Haha, yep exactly like that. I posted on the AME forum asking if anything like that would be put in their store. If they don't make an official one I may end up making that one on my own.

That one came from Bill Tiller himself... looks like he's okay with the poster project, so I'll make a big one out of it.

I don't think that's suitable for that size yet.... still needs some blowing-up.

Well, according to them, the image is of "very good" quality for a 12x16, so I think I'll order one and if it turns out poorly, oh well it's only a couple bucks lost.

I looked at the size, and it actually would be better to be printed as a 12x18 poster instead. Just minor cropping on the top or bottom would be needed at that point.

Hello there, Long time lurker, first time poster.
I just wanted to thank Laserschwert and those responsible for the cleaned -blown up versions of the MI&MI2 boxart.
I printed them out a few years back, but never got around to show my appreciation.
So thanks~

Despite the fact that most everyone who comes here probably already knows, I just wanted to let everyone know that Telltale is finally selling a print of Steve Purcell's Tales of Monkey Island cover artwork:
http://www.telltalegames.com/store/tomi-prints-purcell
Already bought mine (signed of course!) Even used my $5.00 discount from the treasure hunting feature!

I was playing around with an idea earlier today: what would Steve Purcell's TMI artwork look like with a classic-style Monkey Island logo? I knocked this up pretty quickly - I know I did the worst most-rushed clone job on the banner in history, but there's no point working on it until there's a higher resolution scan available.
I should say, this is just for fun - whilst I do prefer the classic-style logo, I have no problem with the new one either.

Hey, I stumbled across this forum about 3 weeks ago, and was blown away by Laserschwert's work. I had some of them professionally printed as posters:
-Sam & Max poster (2, one for me, one for a friend)
-Day of the Tentacle StarWars Chan poster
-Guybrush poster with the monkey shadow (for yet another friend)
Expensive to print, so I printed them all at 18"x24" or so (think Sam and Max was 18"x22.5")
Just wanted to say thanks so much! The digital images are incredible quality. If you do any more, be sure to post them here!

That is a magnificent piece of work.
The whole journey in one big piece.
I love the concept art by Peter Chan even better though.
I'd love to see a full resolution one of the dock.

The Edisons one is made out of a picture that Steve Purcell took of the original hanging on his wall.
That's why the lighting is a little bit odd on the lower left corner.

OK these are awesome. Seems the hosting website is down, though. Does anyone know where else I might acquire these bad boys?

You're right...

(Click for big)
This one's all self-made... well, minus modeling the characters. But I've remodeled them quite a bit to make them more high-res, then lit and rendered them. The some Photoshop work and that's it. Still took me a while though

Wow, pretty darn cool! Any chance we could get that in a wallpaper? (As in PC background rather than covering my walls completely)

Classic Adventure Gaming Poster
A user by the name of Totjoj posted a low res version of this poster a while back. I waited and waited for him to upload the hi res version and I never saw it, so I remade it so I could print a hi res copy of it. Either way, the original idea was his and hopefully you all like it.
Click link for hi res version.

edit...sorry about posting the HUGE image. I kinda just clicked "post" and then walked away without even thinking. Enjoy!

The Shorter Oxford English Dictionary says "ani" means "Any of several glossy black large-billed bird of the genus Crotophaga, of the cukoo family, found in Central and S. America.", also I can't find any mention of a plural for anus. Just great, paper due in a few hours and I'm paging through a dictionary, looking up stuff about buttholes.

Also the rendering on that poster is fantastic, Laser. Did you get the character models from some high-res promo art or is that just epic clean-up on your part?

Kings Quest
Hey guys, I'm really impressed with the effort people have made here. Im pretty amateur in the field of restoration, but I had a go with some Kings Quest cover art. Tell me what you think.
