Building my own mod

Hi!

I've got a problem with building my own mod.

Dwnloaded Jamp.exe source code, and done wut makeamod_readme.txt suggest to do, but when I try to compile it, it gives me 98 errors and 152 warnings.

Is there anybody who knows a site or som tuts that wud be helpful? Or maybe som earlier threads that wud handle this subject?

Peace, Alco.

Assuming that you are not a bot, welcome to LucasForums.

I think this would be better if posted in the Jedi Knight coding forum.

Also, what compiler are you using and what are some of the errors?

I am not a bot. Sorry for my earlier language. I will speak more correct English now.

So, I'd like to know how to start making a mod. I've downloaded the source code from jk3files and my program which I've tried to compile it with is VC2005 Express Edition.

I've even tried the "fixed" version of it that should be working with VC 2005, but ain't - I've tried it.

Some help ?`=)

By fixed version do you mean the one released by OJP? Also i think there are some compiler settings you have to switch but i forget them :/, if i find out i'll let you know. I'm about to migrate to vc 2010 so maybe i can find out.

Hello Alcohol, I wrote a guide for building with Visual Studio C++.

Here is a link: http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=201790

As far as I know, if you follow the guide it should work with Visual Studio C++ 2005, 2008, and 2010.

I also recommend you getting Visual Studio C++ 2010 Express Edition. It is free.
Grab it here: http://www.microsoft.com/express/Downloads/
