defeating the ship on Kato Nem (PC)

I've been stuck on this for a while (PC version) when I engage the ship it asks for a button combination which is arrow left, A and a flashing E. Ive tried evey way I can think of and cant get past this. This is one of the parts of the original force unleashed that I didn't like. someonplease enlighten me as to what I'm doing wrong. Do I need to push the mouse left press "A" and push "E" continously? Thanks for any help

Current Game: COD Black ops
hold "A" and constantly tap "E"...

Any idiot can get an airplane off the ground, but an aviator earns his keep by bringing it back anytime, anywhere, under any circumstances that man and God can dream up.
