White circles on Push and Pull in Jedi Academy

When I use push or pull I'm seeing large white circles where the animations/textures should be, the animation plays, but it's like I'm pushing or pulling a big white circle towards me or away from me.

I know I had this problem previously some years ago, and I found a solution for it, but I can't remember what the solution was and haven't been able to find anything regarding it on the net.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about the bubble effect or the Force target?

Hah. No I just haven't visited these forums in a long time.

When I hit my push or pull hotkey it creates a white circle or white bubble I guess you could say instead of the FX effect I would expect that was in Jedi Outcast. Is it supposed to be a white bubble? That can't be right.

in console, type cg_rendertotexturefx 0 and that will turn off the fancy force effect bubble. it will be the white 'smoky' effect ala jk2.
