I've had wet dreams of Infinity Ward developing Republic Commando 2 more than once, but since they will be Activision's lapdogs till the end of eternity, I think Bungie would be a terrific developer to make RC as RC already borrowed liberally from Halo. Alternately, of course, Irrational Games.
my name is Boss, and i am here to ask you a question. is a commando not entitled to the sweat- ok i'll stop here

Infinity Ward and Activision started to not get along anymore. They just got too big. A few very important people at Infinity Ward was "dismissed", and several other very important people followed their bosses.
Infinity Ward, in it's hayday, with the release of Modern Warfare and MW2, would have been amazing. No compromises on the games. But if Inifinty Ward would do it, would they keep going with it. If RC2 was as popular as the first Modern Warfare, would they make more? would they kill it? would they stop innovating like they did with the MW series?
Would you rather have someone like Infinity Ward make an RC2, and an RC3, possibly an RC4, and possibly destroy it all with oversaturation of the same thing? Or would you rather have it go the way of a Halo movie? Not want it to happen, because you don't want them to screw it up.

Imagine if we had CM as it is now, then all but 2 left. That was what happened but on a larger scale.

I seriously doubt Infinity Ward would screw up Republic Commando. They know what they are doing.

I'm saying would you rather have them put out a bunch of games, and over-saturate the genre, or would you rather have them put out one or two great games in 5 years, instead of pumping out a new one every year like clockwork?

To be honest, apart from the WaW screw-up, I really don't see anything wrong with IW's production quality - everything's always top-notch in their games, and even envelope-pushing a lot of the time. They get a lot of needless flak for having to make games on a tight schedule, but their games are always quality.
Besides, we don't know how adversely IW will be affected post-restructuring. They know they have big boots to fill, but I don't think Activision would let them make anything sub-par.

and to be completely fair, treyarch wasn't completely to blame for World At War, they were only using half their staff on WaW. The other half was devoted to another game, i'm not sure what the game was, but the entire force of Treyarch hadn't come to bare behind a Call of Duty until Black Ops.

This has already been well established, but it is still fun to dream about it. One of those "what if"'s that are so fun to hypothesize about.
i still want some damn closure about Sev.

Yeah, I agree with you. They could at least release some comics on the commandos.

^ Agreement. A comic is the least they could give us after killing the RC franchise.

a comic would be great. I would settle for something a little more i depth than a cameo in The Clone Wars cartoon. It would be nice to see an examination of the different types of clones, and how they operate. Filoni owes us that much.

@Mando Merc: Well Merc, I've made GAZZILIONS of comics before. In the case we don't get to see some RC comics, how about we team up and make them, or, the entire CM group?
