Kotor 3 concept art character name?

I know that this image is old news, and that it is supposedly concept art for the aborted Kotor 3. What I don't know, is if he ever had a working name. Does anyone know what he was called? What I've noticed, is that he bears a striking resemblance to the TSL cut content NPC head named N_SaedheH.tga.

Edit: I just double checked the website, and the image is called "Star-Wars_vargas_08.jpg" but I'm not sure if Vargas is the actual name (first or last?) of the character.

well, I still don't know if Vargas was supposed to be this concept character's name, but we're going to use it for the Revenge of Revan mod anyway. Here is a look at what I've come up with:

That shows just how good the artist is, because looking closely I can see that it's digitally painted.

I dunno about the name, but the first shot looks very crystal clean and I'm guessing would have been for a cut-scene or maybe the opening cinematic. He looks like he would have been an officer for the Republic?

The name is Vargas, if I recall correctly from the first time these images appeared, and I would guess he is a ship captain or something like that related to the republic or government.

Thanks 90SK, I think that Logan23 is going to use Vargas as part of his name, and we're making him a Czerka officer.

That first screenie is from gmax, but this one below is an in-game shot that I posted in the main RoR thread

Sometimes, I think that the only way to truly improve textures, is if we could get custom bump maps working

. Still, he looks ok from a distance, right?

While I agree that the quality isn't as detailed as the concept art, I didn't bother to increase the texture size. I prefer to keep file sizes down, so that the RoR download won't be too gigantic. If I pumped up every texture to the next size, it would almost quadruple the download, which is already at over a gig (after being zipped). Oh well.

But I want a 7' tall guy with a grievous-esque mask, one handed malak saber flourish, all other animations, and has bushy blonde hair, and VO's from beavis himself, dammit! And it better include the option to toggle hood up and down, and there better be cornholio dialog lines in there!!!!!!11!!!!~1!@!

I'm happy that I'm not the only one who made a connection between Grievous and Beavis & Butthead ala Beavis. Now we just need a Count Butthead...
