KOTOR problems

Hello. I have a computer with Windows 7. I recently decided to play KOTOR again but had problems. I tried to follow the instructions in this thread http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=194296
but when I started the game up, this picture came up:

What does this mean?

(Sorry, I'm not very tech savvy so I'm not completely sure what specs I have to post or anything, let me know if there's any additional info I have to add.

It looks like a disc read or SecuROM error. Which version of the game do you have?

"They should rename the team to the Washington Government Sucks. Put Obama on the helmet. Line the entire walls of the stadium with the actual text of the ACA.
Fix their home team score on the board to the debt clock, they can win every game 17,000,000,000,000 to 24. Losing team gets taxed by the IRS 100%, then droned."

Don't believe I have a special version or anything, pretty sure it's just the original Star Wars KOTOR game, has four discs.

Ah, also, I probably should've mentioned this before but I had to torrent the first disc as I lost it. I DO own the original game and the regular discs 2, 3, and 4. Could that have anything to do with it?

Never mind, I got a friend to help me out, apparently I was missing a patch. Seems to be working fine now.
