Do you mean you want to know how to cheat and skip to the final level of the game?

Well, it is possible but you have to "replace" the Kyle model with the one you want. I'm not familar on how to do this but you can check out some of the SP "mods" to see how it's done.

Thx.... i heard about how in cheats you can control allies. So i was thinking if it was possible to load the char if i put it in a certain file, then use the cheat to control it. I just wanted to know if ne1 knows how to do this. Thx for the help though. Ill go ask the people who made some mods if they know how to do ne of this.

I beleive you can control other NPCs by setting your mindtrick skill to level 4 (impossible without cheating) and then mindtricking them.

Yavin Final Conflict
This level's an awkward one if you're not sure what do to. To begin with, there's a fake wall in the hallway after the room with the falling rubble. Just run through it. Then you'll encounter a row of flame throwers embedded in alcoves down the next hall. (I'd advise you to save). Use Force Speed, and watch your timing, or Kyle'll be a toasted Jedi. Next is a three-way junction. On your right is a short hallway with a fake wall leading to an endless drop and instant death. In front of you is a halway leading to a mirror, where Desann will taunt you. On your left is a hallway with a row of fire blocking your way at the bottom. DON'T try to go through. There's a leaking pipe in the ceiling at the top of the hall. Saber throw it. The water will run down and put out the fire. Drop down the hole and force push all the symbols you see around you. Now look around carefully; This little area sort of goes around in a circle, and embedded in one of the centre walls, low down, is a push symbol. Push, and run around until you come across a newly-opened hallway. SAVE. This hall's lined with crushers, and you need to use Force Speed to time it right. Get through, and SAVE before you go around the next corner. 'Cause that's when you'll meet Desann.

I have a question not in the FAQS:
Single Player:
- How do I change the HP of NPC's?
Multiplayer:
- How do I host a public server using version 1.02?

Don't know about the first question but hosting a game server with 1.02 should be the same as hosting with any of the versions.

What is the minimum video card you have to have to play this game? Is a 8MB video card not enough?

Lol, it's enough if you like 2 frames per second.
I'd say 32MB is the minimum for a reasonable gameplay.

How can I get dismemberment without the super-damage effect? I've seen it mentioned that setting g_saberrealisticcombat to 2 will only do one dismemberment per NPC and not up the damage, but this doesn't work for me. The extra damage is a real issue in fights with dark jedi, as they are terrible at blocking. The game gets much less interesting when a Reborn jumps down from above and I take his head of with a single swipe. Cool looking, but boring.

No, that still gives super damage, but I fixed it another way. I modified the npcs.cfg file, and upped the dismamberment probabilities in there. Works a treat. Limited to one dismember per kill, however.

Cheat Files
Hi there. I've been reading through the FAQ files and still have not found the answer to my question, so here goes...
A long time ago, in a university not so far away, I used to play Jedi Knight - Outcast in Halls of Residence. After a number of rebuilds and reinstallations of the operating system and game, I have now lost all saved files and downloads.
I used to have a file in which all the cheats I like to used were listed, and by running this file in the console, I could activate the cheats, switch the colour of my lightsabre and set the dismemberment levels to maximum. Unfortunately, I can neither remember the type of file (was it .bat .dat. cfg .txt...), nor the command to run it once in the console screen of Jedi Knight.
If anyone has any ideas on how I can rebuild my beloved cheat file, and how to run it withing the game, I'd be truly grateful.
Thanks,
Darth Melon

It's a .cfg file and you run it by typing "exec script.cfg" into the console.

Either get Jedi Knight Academy or I think Jedimod has that feature as well.

It was one of the more popular JKO mods. I'm sure you can find it on the JK2 file servers.

Yeah, I found it. Also, besides that MOD, I dowloaded a MOD that changes my single player character. I don't know where to save them though; I saved them in whatever the default place was and they don't work, either of them. I checked the MOD option on the multiplayer start-up screen and it's blank, neither was my character changed in single player.

Problem with DFA explanation
It says that you can swing around while in the move to widen attack arc. While this is perfectly true in v 1.03, 1.04 makes your view stay in one place. It sucks

Hi all,
I was wondering if there was a server only install of JKII
we are a small games community and a few of our members
play JKII, so I thaught I would look into adding a JKII server
to our dedicated box (we mostly play UT99 at the moment).
I know you can run a dedicated server from the game, but
I dont really want to upload an iso of my disk to the dedicated
box just to run a server.
Any help on this matter would be vastly appriciated !!
Thanks in advance

open the assets0.pk3 of your base folder, using a program such as pakscape. inside that, youll find a subfolder labeled ext_data. open that, and find the npcs.cfg file. when you open the config file, youll find all the parameters of all the npcs in the game.
i believe the line to change HP is:
health X
X being the number of HP. so a regular 100 hp npc has
health 100
but a boss like desann has
health 500
you can fool around with the other parameters to if you want, to change other aspects of the npcs. just be careful to save the original file somewhere else first in case you want to go back to the original default settings, or if you do something that messes up the game or corrupts the file.

if the mod is just a single .pk3 file, put it directly in your base folder and see if that works.
if the mod contains several .pk3 files, youll need to create a new subfolder in your gamedata folder and put all the .pk3 files in that. label it anything, the name of the mod will do. then you should see it in your mods menu, and you should be able to load it.
if all else fails, you can create a batch file and use the line
jk2sp +set fs_game "name-of-mod"
if its a singleplayer mod or
jk2mp +set fs_game "name-of-mod"
if its a multiplayer mod.
make sure that the "name-of-mod" matches exactly the name of the subfolder in your gamedata folder which contains the mod .pk3 files. also, make sure to include the quotation marks in the batch file line.
when youve finished making and saving the batch file, all you have to do is click on it and the game will load directly to the mod, so you wont have to search for it in your mod menu.

i would say the most popular. to this day, i only play JediMod when i play JO multiplayer. once you play the saberist 1.2 extension, there is no going back to JO vanilla
sadly, the saberist 1.2 extension for JediMod is only available on massassi.net, and they seem to be dying. it seems every other day their site is down, and i dont doubt that it will soon be gone for good.
dont get me wrong, JediMod is a great mod by itself, but if anyone wants the saberist 1.2 extension (which, in my opinion, makes JO multiplayer gameplay good enough to rival jedi academy) just shoot me a pm and we can work something out.
