Although it's nice, I don't really see why they include all the links there as well... most of the download links don't work anymore anyway, and a link to Adventure-Treff.de would've been more sensible. So it appears more like a hastily put together cut-and-paste article.

But I appreciate the warm words, of course...

Hello, I am one of the artists who worked on the Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings game cover, we also did the Nintendo Power cover below it.

I just was browsing your forums and saw the artist listed as unkown....

you can list our illustration studio as the artist, PicturePlane Imaging.

our website is pictureplaneimaging.com

Thanks! Great website you got here!!!

Hey, thanks for the info! I've added it to the opening post. Also you did a fantastic job at matching Harrison Ford's likeness for these (and I guess the other promo shots for the game as well). It's a shame the game itself was so crappy.

Is there a consensus with regards to the best service to get some of these printed that cater to the U.S.?

Posters XXL did both of the ones I had printed very well, so I don't see any reason not to use them again.

I nabbed my FOA poster in a bidding war on eBay back in the late 1990's, long before the 'Buy it now' option existed. It wound up costing me about $90+ shipping, plus a small fortune to have it custom framed. Anyway, here's my hard-won FOA one-sheet with a few other Atlantean treasures:

WhipWarrior, it seems this is the only item missing in your awesome FoA collection:

My Nur-Ab-Sal pendant was made by a talented Indy prop-maker in California. The eyes and mouth contain a phosphorescent dye so the pendant blazes with a fiery green glow in the dark.

You can see a more detailed view of the pendant here: http://newsradiofanfic.angelfire.com/pendant.jpg (cut-and-paste URL because of stupid Angelfire 'roadblock' link)

I built the horned idol myself about 8 years ago. The outer skin is real copper, but the inside is resin-filled, with a cylinder of sand in the base for a good, solid heft. The whole statue probably weighs close to five pounds. I recently acquired the stone disk set from an artisan in Italy who specializes in Indiana Jones prop replicas. He made them in a very limited run, and it cost me a small fortune, but it's the crown jewel in my FOA collection. The entire prop is fully-functional, and the disks can be dialed on the spindle exactly like in the game (except the spindle button does not press down). The base measures 15 and 1/2 inches square, and about 4 inches in height with all three stones stacked onto the spindle. Truly a work of art.

Sophia Hapgood does my bidding.

Here are new links to the ICO posters:
http://www.mediafire.com/?nb6kxy5eu1f34qb
http://www.mediafire.com/?eccs67rribcujf5

Also, I've obtained a great scan of the MI2 artwork from a German magazine which had it as its centerfold poster (big thanks to 90sGamer!). I've started some slight cleanup and color correction, both with the original coloring and with my darker version (click for full size views):

Strangely it does look different from the box scan, which has some more highlights painted in and slightly different coloring (which I haven't tried to recover, so I don't know if it's "there" or not).

Edit: Updated with a few more clean-ups.

I've updated the RA2 links on the opening post with working ones. Is there any good free alternative to MediaFire though? Since the end of MegaUpload the keep deleting stuff all the time. And I'm not sure how good Dropbox will work in the long run...

Are we still looking for a high res scan of this? I have a physical copy since my wife preordered tales of monkey island for me a while ago.

I should say, this is just for fun - whilst I do prefer the classic-style logo, I have no problem with the new one either.

I found this thread googling Grim Fandango, and your posters came up. I am so impressed by the huge mural, I've been hoping to find a full version of the image for ages (as my disk case isn't complete) and you've created an enormous poster form! Thanks! I am so excited about getting these printed some time, assuming that's OK?

I guess I should remove all the separate download links, as most of them don't work anymore. Also no one seems to notice the HUGE, BOLD DIRECT DOWNLOADS link at the top of the thread.

Once again, a massive thank you to Laserschwert/everyone else involved. It didn't cost a lot to do, (£3 in total actually, and that was just for the wood to make the mounting frame out of), but this is now one of my most valued possessions, and will probably turn into an heirloom down the line

Well, it's always helpful to get scans, but sending boxes around the world is usually too much trouble But if you have a chance to get them scanned, I'd be happy to work with those!

Good question! Basically, I can't refer to such an important item as "it", and I'd feel slightly wrong referring to something so beautiful as a "he", if that makes any sense?! Yeah, I'm a bit odd.

Sure, from Stuttgart to Cologne, could be troubeling for me precious .

I can scan those at work, but i am a bit of a noob reagarding HQ-Scans. When you tell me what do you need exactly, and which options i have to make, i will be happy to give it a try.

Idea about 3D printing the GF mural

Hello, I have an idea I would like to share and hear your thoughts about it. Inspired by the sandstone carving of the Grim Fandango mural, posted by the Grim Fandango Stop-Mo Project-guy I was thinking about 3D-Printing the mural. There is software that can interpret 2D pictures as 3D models by taking their contrast and setting bright areas as higher and dark areas as lower points. Once you have a 3D model of the mural you could easily (?) "print" it either with a 3D printer oder a CNC machine. Here is a (german) company doing right that . What do you think? Could this be working?

Hello guys. I'm glad that i found this forum and this thread. I'm a huge Grim Fandango Fan and i wanted to ask if there is any chance that the poster on page 6 (this one that has been bought from a cast member) is getting scanned?! I know a lot of people asked, but i haven't seen any reply yet, so has anybody another idea how to get my hands on this or are there any other high resolution GF posters?

P.S: Großartige Arbeit, Laserschwert. Bin absolut begeistert und werde mir demnächst auch das ein oder andere ausdrucken lassen. PosterXXL ist zu empfehlen, habe ich das richtig gelesen?!
