Xarwarrs textures 2012 issue, please help.

Hello all,, I'm new to the forums but I have been modding games for some time now. I recently decided to mod kotor 2 since I never got to play at launch and thought that would be fun. Firstly, I just wanted to find a nice texture overhaul for it like the ultimate enhancement for kotor which was amazing.

If there is a "best" texture overhaul for KOTOR 2 please share it with me and end my search. Or, if Xarwars is the best out there can someone tell me what I am doing wrong since the mods do not come with readme's and I cannot find a help thread for his work anywhere. I downloaded the files and ran them as admin on windows 7, unzipping them to my override folder. They are in sub folders but I also removed them from the sub folder and placed them directly into the override and that didn't work either.

All I am getting are blank and grey textures as though the skins just aren't overwriting or something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hello welcome im not shure why thats happening its the first ive heard it..You could try the 2013 textures link above. I dont have a 2013 kotor version yet.

Do you have a diffrent texture mod that modifies other files besides textures?

Well, I reinstalled my backup kotor 2 file and remodded with only the textures from Xarwarrs to trouble shoot. The 2011 files that required the Xnview program to flip and convert (for peragus and ebon hawk) seemed to work fine but when I get to Telos some of the flooring is nice looking and soon of the textures like the floors, walls, crates and doors near the merchant area by the cantina are bare without texture. I was wondering if perhaps this is how it is supposed to look but its pretty ugly and nothing like the rest of the mods textures. It made me worry about what the other mods might look like for other worlds and ive been working on this game for three days now. I'm about to scrap the project soon since it seems many of the best kotor 2 mods are not compatible with each other. I will try out the 2013 mods, thank you.

Is there any known conflict between texture mods and the main kotor 2 mods like jedi temple, m4-78 and TSLRCM? (i do not have TSLRCM installed, I went with M4-78 btw)

My main mods are:
Jedi Temple
M4-78
Comp Patch for Jedi Temp + M4-78
Ultimate light saber mod
Comp Patch for USM + M4-78
Force Fashion II
Mandalorian Knights Armor mod
Various others like skill ups and movement/visual enhancements

Edit: Tried the 2013 Telos textures and they seem to work just fine on the areas that were bare in the 2012 mod, thanks again. I'll give the 2013 textures a full install and run through. =)

Everything looks fantastic so far. Thanks again Xarwarrs! I wasn't entirely sure if you were still active or not but I appreciate the fast response. One more question, the textures appear with a matt, kinda flat finish with little to no shine to them. Is this as intended or is there some setting to change to make them more glossy? The kotor textures in some re-texture mods look very shinny thats why I wanted to ask.

Thanks again, great looking mods to btw. I am very glad people still show these games the love they deserve. Lets all cross our fingers for KOTOR 3 eh?
