No, that part of the storyline hasn't happened yet. There has been more Maul in the season opener as there was a rematch with Obi-Wan. That was a kick ass fight. But we'll have to be on the lookout for Maul's the showdown with Sidious. My guess is it will probably be the season finale. Hopefully we won't have to wait that long!

There is also the Season 5 Trailer that shows part of the storyline as well. Also it shows highlights of a storyline that has already aired that featured Onderon, which is a planet we saw in TSL. Their government was also set up like it was in TSL and you get to see the city of Iziz.

I quite liked the episode on Ilum, it reminded me of Luke on the Dark Side cave. I was specially fond of the Wookiee and the Ithorian, who were able to express their struggle through emotions rather than talking to themselves like the others. The latter wasn't very realistic and it felt forced.
the one where count duku, obi wan, and anikin were captured by pirates. and the only reason I liked that one was because of the single line "The only reason I don't kill you both, is I would have to drag your bodies". That's the only time I feel like they actually did a character justice, and not just tried pandering to a younger audience.

I was thinking the same thing as well. Because there are many powerful moments in the series and I've noticed that each season gets better.

I've been watching this and I must say I've been liking it. Don't care much for the Maul's character but it really is a fun show to watch that is nicely put together.
Darth Maul was indeed an impressive character and deserves to be resurrected. He had already made a return in the graphic novel universe. Now it is time for him to make a full comeback in the Clone Wars series.
I fought on the battlefield. I retired to embrace a life of discovery and profit. I carve my own path in life and am better for it.
I like him now he has Zabrakoid legs again... the "infinities" story they took the idea from was my least favorite rendition of Maul in the EU, so I was a little meh about him as an ED-209 legged freak, but the latest episode was awesome imo
Hey guys today l just saw that episode 16 au man that fight Darth Maul and Savage opress vs Darth Sidious was epic but l wonder will Maul survive at episode 17
Yesterday's episode was fantastic. One of my all time favorites. And they sure didn't hide that Palpatine was Sidious, unlike the rest of the series.

It's actually a dark saber, and it's a very old weapon. It's like the first lightsabers before the evolved to what we're used to. That's why it's so different. And it was once used by a Jedi before modern lightsabers and was stolen by Mandalorians and passed down from generation to generation.

I absolutely love this show and they way Maul was brought back. Sam Witwer can voice all Darksiders as he wants. I was surprised to see the end of Savage, but it being Sidious just made it more awesome. I hope we get a Season 6 and see Maul as Palpatine's puppet again. With more conflict with Dooku...whos been kinda nonexistent this season.

Up to now there is no season 6... No one will comment, and there is no mention of it on Cartoon Network, or any of the Disney owned channels for next years shows. An insider at Lucasfilm told a podcaster in an interview that "Now is the time to make a Rukus in support of TCW, its future is not certain..."
I'd be happy if it didn't return. Personally I thought the ending of season 5 was good, and I'm happy at their decisions regarding Ahsoka. But it made me realise something... TCW has made me hate Anakin, Obi-wan and the Jedi Council, the whole mythos and nostalgia I have about the Jedi is gone because of this show.

I have to say that this show really exceeded my expectations this season. The early episodes may not have been as impressive, but the Darth Maul Story arc and the conspiracy to end the season really impressed me as some damn good story writing. I can't wait for the next season, hopefully Disney will allow the writers to take the next step.

The finale was perhaps one of the top episodes of the series. You could feel the tension between ahsoka, the Jedi, etc. And I did not expect her to leave the order, and despite my allegations against her early on, it was a really emotional scene between Anakin and Ahsoka. If this show ended on that note, I'd be fine with that. A great ending.
Personally I thought the ending of season 5 was good, and I'm happy at their decisions regarding Ahsoka.
I agree. Ahsoka's story could end right here and I'd be fine with that.

To me, Obi-Wan and the Jedi Council have neither gained nor lost much of anything so far, though Obi-Wan having a girlfriend was rather interesting and added some depth to his character that wasn't there before. However, TCW actually made Anakin likable, and that alone makes it worth watching.

I lost all respect for Anakin thanks to the Prequels, but acting by Ewan McGreggor saved Obi-wan for me.

I completely agree, Anakin was far better done in this season and the previous for TCW than the prequels combined. Had the story of his fall been around losing his apprentice, his fall to the dark side would have been waaayyyy more interesting.
However, it showed that the Jedi Council is imperfect, as it should be. That was greatly done in the finale.
