TPM scoring
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows what determines the score on the Phantom Menace game? I always get 4 5 6 7 8 and the rest 9s. I should be happy that I can beat it, but I would really like a better score... if you know anything let me know.

You probably shut it off before the score came up. There is a scoring on there. Maybe Zanzibar or Master Qui-Gon can help you PadawanAllen.

The normal perfect game will get you 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9 but you can get 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9. I managed to get all 9s but I think it was because I used to cheat code to increase the difficulty. Despite ending with a perfect score, I never did get a ranking better than Jedi Novice... at least not until I edited the file and changed the ranking titles. Your score is calculated like this: it counts the number or times you die. The game difficulty lowers if you keep dying and if you do poorly on one level you can raise your score over the next few. The only number that matters is the one you have when you finish the game, so it's the last number on the list. 9 is the best you can get.

Actually, he is in it. Not alive though, or a ghost, or a clone---he is shown fighting alongside another Jedi, Count Dooku, in a holovid in a library. So I heard...

This is all I was able to find.
Liam Neeson Interview in OK Magazine
Mon, Feb 25, 02 09:01:58 AM EST
Finky was just been reading through some news articles in his wife's OK Magazine and saw an article with Liam Neeson. Here's waht he had to say: He was being interviewed and was asked about his latest works and what he was up to. He mentioned that he had just finished some work on Star Wars Episode II.
I have scoured the usual Star Wars websites and can find no reference in the cast lists to Liam Neeson, and wondered if this is going to be a big secret kept by Lucas, with Qui-Gon coming back to assist Anakin or Obi Wan. Either that, or Liam Neeson is going to play some sort of cameo role.

Well, yes ...but Lucas said he'd never make a fully CG human character (at least not a non-background-or-space-filler character)

Yeah, odd isn't it? He must have lost those since then... since R2 sure didn't made any attempt to float down when he had to leave Jabba's sail barge in RotJ. But anywho.. I found that the entire trailer was lacking "SW feel" at several occasions.

ya me too about the 'sw feel'...o well we'll see once they're all put together on a single dvd how well they flow.
Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

We already know that
A) Memory wipes are quite common for droids, when they pass through different owners.
Of course, this is supposed to eliminate developed personality as well. [/END USELESS POINT]
B) Anakin Skywalker does look particularly look like anything at all like Darth Vader.
C) We don't even know that the droids know that Vader's real name is Anakin Skywalker.

Well it has been mentioned that 3PO and R2 have very often escaped getting their memories wiped clean. So hey, perhaps he still knows who his creator is, perhaps not.
But besides that what Wingman said is pretty much true. And the fact that Anakin is Vader isn't known by many apparently. So no one probably told him that Vader is his maker. (and as Anthony Daniels said on that "If someone were ever to tell him that Vader made him, he'd probably have to go in psychological therapy" .. or something like that, been a while since I saw that tape lol)
Anyway.. It's completely understandable if 3PO recognise his creator in Vader when he saw him in the Cloud City freezing chamber.. now Vader himself on the other hand...

I assume you meant "not recognize".
3PO was broken, and Vader wasn't really paying attention to him. Besides, it could've easily been coincidence (except it wasn't.)

Then why did he stop Boba Fett from shooting Chewie? Concidering the empire doesn't care much for droids nor non human species.

because it was pointless. Even bad guys know that killing isn't always necessary. At least the smart ones do. Besides, he probably just didn't want him shooting in there. If someone needed to be killed, Vader was prefectly capable of doing it himself... without missing.

R2 Units have anti-grav boosters for traveling in vacuum. MAybe he uses it at full in the movie and the planet also have low gravity (remember the geonosians fly...) In TPM he had it in the visual dictionary and i heard it was going to be used in it but they didn't found a scene to put it.

@Pedro: The Empire has this attitude towards droids and nonhumans. Palpatine and Vader don't. They're smarter than that. It was just a ploy to rally those in power with those attitudes---humans---behind them. Simple as that.
